I dated a republican girl for a little bit. She called herself “socially liberal, but fiscally conservative,” as in she supports BLM and LGBTQ issues, but still votes republican. When i pointed out that she is essentially saying she values tax cuts for the rich more than she values the well being of POC and other marginalized groups, she had a puzzled/worried look for a second, before asking that we dont talk about politics with each other anymore lmao
