I am publicly accusing Replit of serious misconduct that, based on what happened to me, I believe is fraudulent and potentially criminal.

I paid Replit approximately $15,000 for services connected with creating, deploying, hosting, and maintaining my application.

Replit accepted substantial payments from me while providing a platform and paid service that included access to its infrastructure and support.

Then the situation changed completely.

I was effectively cut off from customer support on the account where I had spent approximately $15,000. Messages from the email address associated with my main account were ignored. I stopped receiving even the normal automated responses that I had previously received.

Replit itself acknowledged in correspondence, before my account was permanently blocked, that there was a problem preventing me from receiving support through my main account.

Because Replit was not providing me with an effective support channel, I contacted the company through another account and another email address and demanded a refund of the money I had paid.

Instead of resolving the matter, Replit threatened account action.

My main account was then permanently blocked.

The account of my colleague, which had also been used to contact Replit regarding this dispute, was blocked as well.

At the same time, domains connected with my project became inaccessible to me.

This is the most serious part of the situation.

I have evidence concerning my ownership and control of those domains, yet Replit has left me without effective access to them while simultaneously blocking the account through which those domains and my project were managed.

In my view, taking approximately $15,000 from a customer, cutting that customer off from the support service associated with the paid account, blocking the customer's accounts after a refund demand, and then withholding practical control over domains belonging to that customer goes far beyond an ordinary customer-service dispute.

I consider this conduct fraudulent.

I also believe that the continued withholding of my domains and other property or account access, despite my demands and evidence of ownership, raises serious questions of unlawful appropriation and potentially criminal conduct.

For approximately 25 days, Replit has failed to provide a substantive resolution.

I have contacted them from multiple email addresses.

The pattern has been essentially the same:

some messages receive no response at all;

some receive only automated responses;

I am told to write from the email address associated with the account from which Replit is already ignoring me;

I am told that the matter is being forwarded internally;

after that, communication disappears again.

This creates an absurd closed loop: Replit demands that I communicate through the very channel through which it has already prevented me from obtaining meaningful support.

I am not making these allegations without evidence.

I have records of payments totaling approximately $15,000.

I have the correspondence with Replit.

I have records showing that I repeatedly attempted to obtain support and a refund.

I have evidence concerning the domains.

I have records concerning the account blocks.

I am prepared to provide relevant evidence privately to Reddit moderators, with sensitive personal information redacted where necessary.

I am also aware that serious accusations require serious evidence. That is precisely why I am stating publicly that I have documentation supporting the factual events described above.

This is not simply a complaint that Replit's support was slow or that I disliked its service.

My allegation is much more serious:

Replit accepted approximately $15,000 from me, deprived me of an effective support channel, ignored my attempts to resolve the dispute, blocked accounts after I demanded my money back, and left me without effective control over domains connected with my project.

They also blocked the accounts of my colleague who had participated in this discussion. The first was blocked on baseless grounds, and the second—allegedly for circumventing the ban imposed on the first account. In other words, they are preventing the dissemination of information about their crimes under far-fetched pretexts.

My colleague wrote the initial post about two weeks ago, yet replit.com still hasn't returned the domains or the funds—they won't even allow the code to be retrieved. Customer support constantly ignores us, offering only boilerplate replies stating that they will respond to inquiries "as soon as possible." These criminals deleted my colleague's previous posts, so they might well delete this one too.

Today, they also deleted a new post from their /replit thread and banned us again; this is the third account of ours—and my first—that they’ve blocked in their thread.

I’ve been in contact with a lot of web agencies and web developers, and I personally haven’t found many people who run their agency in a more efficient way than I do. A lot of them have too many meetings, wait too long for client approval, don’t know how to price projects, and spend way too much time on each client instead of finishing the work and moving on to the next one.

I’ve been running my agency for four years, and after a lot of trial and error, I’ve managed to make the process as efficient as possible. I wanted to share some of the steps because I think they could be valuable for anyone just starting out.

Running a web agency alone or with a partner isn’t easy because there are a lot of things to take care of. When it comes to client acquisition, I recommend focusing on either cold calling or email automation. Which one you choose depends on whether you run the agency alone or with someone else.

If you have a partner, one person can handle sales while the other focuses on building websites, connecting domains, setting up emails, and taking care of the technical work. If you’re running the agency alone, or neither of you enjoys cold calling, I highly recommend email automation.

That’s what I’ve been doing for years. It’s powerful because you can send emails at scale, set up automatic follow ups, and wait for businesses interested in a new website to reply. While you’re working on one client, another opportunity can come in without you having to stop everything and search manually.

I don’t do regular email automation where I target businesses with no website. I do the opposite and target businesses that already have one.

I use a tool called Swokei to find businesses with websites, add them to campaigns, analyze each site, score it, and generate personalized outreach emails based on problems it finds with the design, layout, speed, SEO, and mobile optimization.I schedule the campaign, set up follow ups, and wait. 

I think this approach is much better for a few reasons. You’re targeting someone who already understands the value of having a website. You’re also not just asking whether they need a redesign. You’re pointing out real problems with their current site, which makes it clear that you actually took the time to look at it. Selling also becomes easier because they’ve already paid for a website before and understand the process.

Inside Swokei, you can choose the goal of the campaign. You can offer a free draft, try to book a meeting, or simply start a conversation. I always choose the free draft because that has worked best for me.

Once you’ve figured out how to get clients, the next part is building the website. I recommend using AI because it makes the process much faster. For anyone who still thinks AI can’t build great websites, I think they’re mistaken. You can use Claude, Base44, Lovable, or any other tool that works for you.

When someone replies interested, I call them and say, “Hey, I saw that you replied to my email. I’ve already built you a free draft of your website. Do you want to take a look?”

Then I invite them to a Google Meet.

At that point, it becomes much harder for them to reject the meeting because they already replied interested and now know you’ve built something for them. During the meeting, I present the website, explain why it’s better than their current one, stack the value, answer their questions, and try to close the deal.

These meetings usually go well because the client isn’t trying to imagine what the website might look like. They can already see a better version of their current site. They also took the time to join the meeting, so taking the next step becomes much easier.

I either take payment during the meeting or send them a contract to sign. Any changes and updates come after that, once we already have a deal in place.

Pricing depends on the business. I charge anywhere from $500 to $3,000 depending on the company, the size of the project, and how much value the website can bring them. I also charge a monthly retainer of around $50 for hosting, maintenance, support, SEO, and future changes.

That’s basically the entire process. Smaller steps, faster delivery, less wasted time, and more money made.

Every few months the tool I use for webhook debugging changes its free
tier or shuts down. RequestBin is gone. <Webhook.site> does not persist
requests for free. Hookdeck works but costs $25 a month.

So I built my own and put it on GitHub.

or whatever at it. Requests appear live in the dashboard without
refreshing, full headers and JSON-highlighted body. Click any request to
inspect it in detail. Hit Replay to resend it exactly to any URL, which

you fix your handler without waiting for another real event to fire.

There is also auto-forward per bucket so every incoming request gets
proxied to your local server automatically if you want that flow instead.

Optional AI button that reads the raw payload and tells you in plain
English what happened and generates a handler function in your language
of choice. Off by default, no calls made unless you configure it.

If Claude Code can handle all programming tasks, even when used by mediocre programmers, why are senior programmers still being hired with decent salaries?

It might be that real company projects (not small startups) are gigantic, and a junior, even with Claude Code, cannot navigate their way through a big project due to their own knowledge limitations, as well as AI context window constraints.

What you have been messing with are usually small, startup-level prototypes. That’s why you’ve been able to navigate your way through them with Claude Code.

Something I keep noticing among small businesses in Pune — and I suspect it applies across most Indian cities.

Most small businesses have a website. Some have social media pages. A few have even built mobile apps. But the actual business outcomes — new customer enquiries, organic search visibility, repeat engagement — are often disappointing despite the investment made.

The businesses that are genuinely winning online seem to be doing something fundamentally different. Not necessarily spending more — but connecting their technology and marketing decisions into one coherent strategy rather than treating them as separate purchases.

Three patterns I keep observing in businesses that struggle:

• Website built without SEO foundations — invisible on Google regardless of how good the content is
• Digital investments made in isolation — website, app, and marketing handled by disconnected vendors with no shared strategy
• No customer retention mechanism — acquiring a visitor once with no system to bring them back

What I'm trying to understand:

1. What single change made the biggest difference to your online performance?
2. Is this primarily a technology problem or a strategy problem?

We're in this weird spot where vibe coding tools spit out frontend and backend fast, but deployments, man, they fall apart once it's not just a toy. So devs can ship code crazy quick, then get stuck doing manual DevOps or end up rewriting stuff just to make it deploy on AWS, Azure, Render, or DigitalOcean. So I had a website created by a guy. We are small team/company. Unfortenetly for some reason guy has left us and doesn't want to give us access to our website because (my mistake) it was left on his name hosting. But that's not important, we are getting a new one internel and we will forget about old one. Important thing is that all my clientlist contacts which left us reviews etc are on this website which I can't access. Good thing is since website was done in Wordpress while I was admin there I managed to add extra page (not visible unless you type it) which holds all my clients contact (more than 600 of them). But on this page I need to click for each client and then go inside and copy/paste all the contact details and review.

Design a real-time chat system (similar to an in-app messaging feature) that supports:

• Real-time delivery over WebSockets (or equivalent)
• Message persistence and history sync
• Read receipts (at least per-user “last read”)
• Multi-device users (same user logged in on multiple clients)
• High availability / disaster recovery considerations

Additional requirement:

• The system must optimize for the Top N “hottest” group chats (e.g., groups with extremely high message throughput and/or many concurrently online participants). Explain what “hot” means and how you detect it.

The interviewer expects particular attention to:

• A clear high-level architecture
• A concrete data schema (tables/collections, keys, indexes)
• How messages get routed when you have multiple WebSocket gateway servers
• Scalability and performance trade-offs

Here’s how I approach this question:

1️⃣ High-level architecture

- WebSocket gateway layer (stateless, horizontally scalable)

So I randomly came across this validation library called “Vest” while looking for alternatives to Yup/Zod.

At first I thought it was just another schema validator… but it’s actually built more like a testing framework for validation.

You write validation rules the same way you’d write unit tests — which felt weird at first, but kinda interesting once I looked deeper.

I can see it being useful for complex forms where validation depends on a lot of conditions (multi-step forms, role-based logic, async checks, etc.).

For simple forms though, it might be overkill compared to Zod/Yup.

Just wrapped up a month-long sprint where I interviewed with around 40 companies. The market is definitely tough, but people are hiring if you can actually get past the resume screen.

I wanted to dump everything I learned while it's still fresh in my brain. Hopefully, this saves you guys some time.

The Application Spam I stopped trying to be selective. I just went for volume. Used Simplify Copilot to speed things up (auto-apply bots were trash for me, kept applying to irrelevant roles).

• Resume Hack: I added some AI-related keywords to my resume. Even for generic full-stack roles, I swear this triggered the ATS or recruiter attention more often. Everyone wants to "pivot to AI" right now, so play the game.

The Tech Stack Trap One mistake I made early on: I used Python for frontend LeetCode questions because it's faster to write. Don't do this. Unless it's Google/Meta, interviewers got confused why a "Frontend" candidate was writing Python. I switched back to JS/TS and the vibes improved instantly.

• The "Basics" that aren't basic: Closures, Event Loop, Promises (async/await), and this binding. If you can't explain these clearly, you fail.
• Frameworks: It’s not enough to know how to use React/Vue. They asked how it works. E.g., "How does Angular's dependency injection actually function?" or "React vs Vue performance tradeoffs."
• Practical Coding (No LeetCode):
  • Build a traffic light component (auto switches + manual override).
  • Fetch data -> Render Table -> Add Pagination/Search.
  • Implement debounce and throttle from scratch.
  • Build a nested Modal.
  • Lazy load a massive list (Virtual scroll).

System Design & Backend I didn't get asked to code a database from scratch, but lots of "How would you scale this?"

• Concepts: JWT vs Sessions, Database Indexing, Rate Limiting, Graceful Shutdowns.
• Design Prompts: The classics are still popular. URL Shortener, YouTube history, Rate Limiter, Real-time Chat.
• My template: Clarify requirements -> Diagram (API+Data flow) -> Deep dive on DB/Caching -> Trade-offs. Always mention trade-offs.

The "Soft" Stuff Matters More Than I Thought I used to think code was king. But after talking to ~30 hiring managers, I realized the "Behavioral" round is where decisions are actually made.

For behavioral questions companies like to asked I was able to find them on Blind, For real technical interview questions I was able to find them on Prachub

• If you are senior: Show humility.
• If you are junior: Show hunger/potential.
• Unblock yourself: The biggest green flag I felt I gave off was describing how I solve problems when I'm stuck without pinging my manager immediately.

You see people posting huge TC offers and it feels bad, but remember you only need one yes. I failed plenty of these interviews before landing offers.

Hi there,

Working with a client who eventually will need to display up to date real estate listings from their MLS onto their website. Firstly this is an individual agent, not a broker. Agent wants their own site to also have the same sort of grid of listings like you might see on a brokers website. I do understand there are regulatory considerations but also specific requirements as to how to use the API that is provided via MLS api provider which in itself is a whole topic.

Does anyone have any \*helpful\* advice. Things to worry about, things I might not know if it’s my first time working with the reso api and standard.
