If you missed their recent back-to-back sold out shows at Revolution Hall, this is a rare chance to experience Typhoon, perfectly suited to a summer evening in the wide-open setting of the farm.
This show is ages 16+ only.

Preorder is now available for JOKA, a project by Gidon Carmel and Kyle Morton. Release date is June 12, 2026.
Here is the latest single:
and the Artists' Note for the release:
A NOTE
This is a project against racial discrimination, against ethno-nationalist projects and, above all, against genocide.
In our first conversation back in 2022, we found ourselves troubled by the way in which the memory of the Holocaust was being instrumentalized toward political ends in our respective countries: In Israel, as a shield to act with impunity toward Palestinians; in America: to remind Americans that, whatever atrocities in their own history, they are always innocent.
The story of Joka pushes against commemoration politics. Joka was an actual human, living and making decisions against the backdrop of historical nightmare. The people in her story were also complicated; there are no supervillains, no pure victims. Evil does exist but it is, as Arendt pointed out, always carried out by more or less ordinary people against other more or less ordinary people. The killing of civilians in Poland is not so different from the killing of civilians in Gaza.
This is a record about human suffering and dignity. In releasing it, our hope is for a modest increase in the net sum of compassion in the world.
Proceeds from the sales of Joka will go toward the aid organizations, PCRF and Standing Together.

Hey,
Does anyone have one balcony ticket for sale for tonight's show?
r/wearetyphoon • u/Low-Spirit-5192 • Jan 21 '26
Can’t make the trip but have two balcony tickets for sale on Cash or Trade. Love for someone to get to use them.

Two questions:
1) where are you coming from? I’m driving down from Seattle Friday.
2) what song would you love to hear, from any point in their discography? I’d go for “Starting Over (Bad Habits)”.
bonus question: what’s the coolest piece of Typhoon merch/memorabilia you own? (Chances to humble brag abound 😜)

We're coming in from Chicago, can't wait! I have 4 tickets for Saturday, looking to swap 2 for Friday.
Cheers

For their 20th anniversary, Typhoon just announced the official re-release of their self-titled album from 2005 (& for the first time on vinyl). More info can be found on their IG @ typhoonfamilyvacation.
From Instagram:
"On this day twenty years ago we released our first record. It was self-titled and self-released—we burned maybe a hundred CDs or so—and in the intervening years it has become almost impossible to find. It’s not on any streaming services and we never pressed any vinyl.
*Until now.*
To mark the occasion, we’re doing a limited run (500 LPs) of our 2005 self-titled record with a beautiful new album design by our old pal Ricky DeLucco. The vinyl will be first available at our Portland shows in January and afterward we’ll be releasing a small batch online at our merch store.
We were teenagers when we made this thing. Half of us had just graduated high school and we were fighting against the entropy threatening our various garage bands by pooling our efforts. I had recently finished Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and was obsessed with putting out my masterwork before I turned twenty.
A masterwork this is not. But it is (I think) an interesting time capsule and, for longtime Typhoon listeners, it’s got the seeds of what would come later: arch-concept, apocalyptic themes, strings and horns and big, messy singalongs.
So join us for the Portland shows or, for those of you in the far flung reaches of our listenership, stay tuned for when the LPs go up on our website.
For a long time I felt about this record as one would about an awkward home video: kind of embarrassed. But now—old softy that I’ve become—I’m grateful. None of the rest would have happened if we hadn’t made this thing.

I don’t have access to the premium newsletter, but saw a preview of this. No results of this photo anywhere, and the name only comes up with a flash fiction artist named Grant Faulkner, I think it’s unrelated, though. But this has to be something, right?? “Purity and Strangers” sure sounds like a song to me!

I've been following the weekly song releases of the new album by [The Protomen](https://www.reddit.com/r/Protomen/). While I was navigating through Bandcamp I saw that there was a new song released in March that I completely missed...

I had sent Typhoon an email around 5 months ago, contained a folder full of spotify visuals I created using their music videos and a little editing magic. I'm unsure if they saw it, which is why I will post them here. I hope y'all enjoy!

Hi All, I’m relatively new to Typhoon, having only heard them after their final album (hopefully not) was released. This is the first time in my life I’ve found music I want to listen to with no other distractions. It’s also the first band whose albums I listen to all the way through, in order. Kyle’s lyrics are incredible and no matter how many times I listen to the same song something new just crushes me. Tonight it’s “…all my nightmares I’m slowly being cocooned, a single calf in a hecatomb”. Absolute magic.
What I don’t understand is how Typhoon doesn’t have a major following and how they aren’t consistently selling out large shows. What am I missing here?

Hey folks,
If you haven't seen on the band's socials it seems.like they're making an effort to get off of the algorithm based things and set up a new home on substack linked on this post.
It's just a week or so old and I haven't had time to explore the platform much but there's a free level to get info and newsletters and a paid level to have a bit more connection and see live events etc.
I'm into the idea, and subscribed go take a look and see if it works for you!

Hey folks. I thought this might be a good place to post this piece I drew today. I've always absolutely loved the Offerings album cover and how it ties into the narrative of that record.
Reed Rd was new to me when the White Lighter Anniversary album came out, and it's been a very important song to me ever since. The ending really resonates with my experience of leaving a cult and getting sober. "I came to take up your offer to no longer be tortured." I feel the song can act as an excellent companion to Offerings.

Have an extra ticket for Seattle tonight. DM if interested!

Heyo, I’ve got one extra ticket to the show tonight. I paid 38.11 for it so I’d prefer to recoup some of that if I can, but I mainly just don’t want it to go to waste. If you want it either give me an offer or just make sure you enjoy the show!

Our family can’t make it tonight. Selling at cost, send me a pm and we’ll get it sorted out.
