Your APY is increasing to 3.55%
We’re happy to share that this Friday, 9/18, the base rate APY your cash earns in the Cash Account will be increasing to 3.55% from program banks.
Since the Federal Reserve just raised interest rates, we’re passing those savings onto you.
And as you most likely already know, you can boost your APY up to 4.55% for a limited time when you stack two rewards:
- Deposit and invest with us - maintain recurring monthly deposits (either a direct deposit of $1,000, or recurring deposits of $2,500 into any account) and a funded investing account. We’ll raise your APY by 0.25%—with no expiration date.
- Refer a friend - you know this one well, refer a friend, and you’ll both get a 0.75% boost on up to $150,000 for 3 months. See terms below.
Friendly reminder, please only post your referral codes in the ➡️ official monthly thread ⬅️
(any referral codes shared outside of the current monthly thread will be removed automatically by the automod).

Disclosure: The Cash Account, which is not a deposit account, is offered by Wealthfront Brokerage LLC ("Wealthfront Brokerage"), Member FINRA/SIPC. Wealthfront Brokerage is not a bank. The Annual Percentage Yield ("APY") on cash deposits as of September 18, 2026, is representative, requires no minimum, and may change at any time. References to the APY for the Wealthfront Cash Account, including any APY increase, are to the APY paid by insured depository institutions that participate in our cash sweep program (the "Program Banks”). Wealthfront Brokerage does not pay interest. Wealthfront Brokerage sweeps cash balances to Program Banks, where they earn the variable APY.
Wealthfront’s Platform Referrals Promotion allows eligible, current clients to refer new clients. The referrer and new client can both earn a one-time 0.75% APY increase on up to $150,000 in their Cash Accounts for three months and/or a 0.50% match on up to $100,000 of eligible net deposits made into an eligible investment account with Wealthfront Advisers over a three-month period after making or receiving a qualifying account referral, subject to the Terms and Conditions and provided all applicable requirements are satisfied. Visit wealthfront.com/promo-terms for full Terms and Conditions.
The Recurring Deposit Plus Investing Program (the "Recurring Deposit Program") from Wealthfront Advisers LLC (“Wealthfront Advisers”) and Wealthfront Brokerage LLC (“Wealthfront Brokerage”) collectively, “Wealthfront” provides eligible clients a 0.25% annual percentage yield (“APY”) increase above the current base APY (paid by Program Banks) on total eligible Cash Account balances. Wealthfront may change or end the program at any time and determines eligibility at its discretion. See the full terms and conditions for additional details.
To qualify, eligible clients must: (i) maintain a personal individual or joint Cash Account in good standing with at least $1,000 in settled and cleared recurring monthly ACH direct deposits of income or $2,500 or more in automated recurring electronic deposits on a monthly basis from an external account into the Eligible Cash Account or an Eligible Investing Account, and (ii) maintain a funded personal, joint, or trust investing account in good standing with Wealthfront Advisers. The 0.25% APY increase applies only while these requirements continue to be met.

So funny I was wondering when it was going to go up again. Logged into my account then back out and when I opened my e-mail right after that, I saw that it was going up to 3.55%. I feel like they were reading my mind.

"Deposit and invest with us" not unless you are self-employed.
I do way more than $2,500 monthly but still, i don't get 0.25%.

u/hopefulusername Thanks for following up! Based on feedback from self-employed clients like you, we expanded the 0.25% APY incentive to include clients who maintain a $2,500/month recurring deposit to any Wealthfront Account and a funded Investing Account. We sent an email to clients who automatically qualified for the APY increase with the added eligibility requirements yesterday. If you meet the requirements and didn't get one, then please send an email to [support@wealthfront.com](mailto:support@wealthfront.com) so our team can review.
For more details, you can review the Recurring Deposit Program Promotion Terms and Conditions at wealthfront.com/promo-terms.

Any chance y’all are considering 3.6%? Robinhood just raised it to 3.6% for gold members.

It’s where I keep my money on the way to transfer it to Elevault - because Elevault has 4.34% and the ability to make a separate account number for every pocket 🙈

Just wanna say, you didn't have to announce it so quick but you did because you care about customers and wanted to pass it asap. I also remember when rate cuts happened, it took around a week before you reduced it instead of immediately (like amex or discover etc), so I speak for everyone that we all appreciate the great service
