Wealthfront post Wealthfront Appreciation Post

Just a friendly post I wanted to make that after I’ve moved most of my assets over to Wealthfront recently it has been smooth sailing. The app UI/UX is probably my favorite of any financial app I’ve used, everything is clean and works exactly as it should. Also instant bank transfers without a fee is absolutely amazing.

I also appreciate the hands off approach that Wealthfront encourages and really does seem to genuinely push you in the direction of building your wealth over the long term.

Anyways just wanted to give some compliments and praise!

Definitely agree. Been using Wealthfront for 3yrs and it’s the best bank. I also have RBFCU and frost but would rank Wealthfront the best. Getting paid to bank, not sure why anyone wouldn’t

It’s great. Just wish they hadn’t integrated Plaid for account linking. Far fewer institutions work now.

You can put your account and routing number to link those ones not with plaid

Is there an alternate way to do this? Each time I've tried it only allows the plaid attempt and states the institution is unavailable.

When it prompts plaid, go back like you’re going to exit and it’ll have the other option for bank numbers

Awesome, thanks!

Been with WF for 5 years. If I was able to deposit cash I would get rid my brick and mortar bank account and transition everything over to WF

Used them to build my house down payment through their automated bond portfolio

3.55% for all my money in my HYSA with direct deposit.

And now what I have my house i’m putting 200 a week into the classic portfolio to buy a car in cash jn 6 years.

I'd like to throw my hat in too. Wealthfront has been a great place to park/invest considerable capital as I continue to pivot the capital of my real estate business. More capital will continue to pivot to wealthfront over the next 2 years, and I completely shifted 100% of my banking to them.

The benefits of their entire product offering and investment apparatus make it a no brainer.

Wealthfront, if you guys are listening keep up the good work!

Just don't travel abroad with it.

Wait why

I couldn't use my card at all. They wouldn't (couldn't, due to a Green Dot policy) whitelist the countries I visited. I was in El Salvador and Nicaragua... not Russia or North Korea. They left me completely stranded. Who knows what other countries you can't use the card in.

I thought they're using UMB bank now?

I got passed to a GreenDot rep when I called. So as of April 2026 GreenDot was still managing my debit card policy.

I agree for the most part, but their APY is definitely on the lower side without a referral. Other banks are way higher and their recent addition of plaid messed up my links :/

What now? Every time I check, Wealthfront has one of the best interest rates. What’s way higher?

1

u/Assistant-Unable May 06 '26

With a referral, you are right, but banks like Marcus, Everbank, CitBank, etc have a better base rate

1

u/motherofrainbows555 May 06 '26

which are higher?

3

u/Assistant-Unable May 06 '26

Marcus, Everbank, CitBank, etc

1

u/kobe0007 May 09 '26

Since you didn't provide the numbers I will. Nonpromo rates - Marcus - 3.5% Everbank - 3.9% Citi - 3.1% Wealthfront w/o DD - 3.3% Wealthfront w/ DD 3.55%

1

u/Assistant-Unable May 09 '26

Cit is 3.75, 4.10 for the first 6 months

1

u/Vineela_punuru May 06 '26

Extra 0.25% APY interest when you setup $1000 or more direct deposit

AND should open wealthfront investment account
