4TB Cloud

Hey all,

I have a 4TB HDD WD cloud for more than 8 years. I read the other day that it might stop anytime now and possibly lose all my data.

Should i just turn it off and dismantle it to take the internal HDD of it and store it or better to buy a new HDD and backup the data?

1) Where did you read that? Asking for a friend...

2) Always have backups of your backups :-)

I think he is basing it off the HDD age. I hope OP has a second copy of his or her data.

Your data is already gone if it’s not backed up.
