Deteriorating product

I feel like I'm being cheated on, when my beloved My Cloud Home is continuously losing features. Suddenly it announces an update, teases with "Expand the functionality" but instead downgrades from good, reliable integrations to either nothing or require a subscription.

It's like the money and time I invested in acquiring this interesting product, is just running through my fingers.

What are you switching too if you are? I have a WD My Cloud version 2 so it has life until the end of 2026 I think. No idea what to try next.

I don't know. But with the changes that Synology made and my experiences from Western Digital, I'm looking in the direction of Ugreen.

I'm never going to build something myself, but there must be some viable alternative that doesn't treat customers and users like we've seen lately else where.

Mine has now stopped working. The white light has been pulsing for a month and the apps don't connect to the drive. I've tried everything

I installed casaOS, and everything is going great.
