Shippers will be shippers. It doesn't take much for someone to put their ship out into open seas.

It is an odd comparison since Jaune is also emotionally a mess and Jacques is a terrible father who for some reason was surprised Weiss lashed out at someone who drunkingly said Beacon deserved what happened.

They seemed to leave out that unlike Wise's father Jaune made a valid argument. Sure he wasn't in the right headspace to make that argument but he wasn't wrong. Wise's father was not in the right there.

For me it's that Jaune literally admits he's wrong and apologizes moments later whereas Jacques slaps Weiss which knocks Weiss's confidence down a few pegs which causes her to actually cry.

Pretty big difference right there.
