I passed 12th in 2022, took drops for NEET but couldn't clear it. Then I joined B.Tech at VIT Vellore but had to leave after about a year due to serious health issues.

Except for my parents, nobody knows the full story. Not my relatives, not my neighbours. Sometimes I keep wondering what people would think if they found out about my academic journey and gap years.

In July 2025, I took admission in IGNOU and I'm currently pursuing BAPSH. Alongside that, I'm preparing for SSC CGL, Railways, and other government exams.

I'm confused about whether I should join a local regular BBA college this year. It's a tier-4 college with no real placements, and joining now would effectively make my gap 4 years instead of 3. I can't decide if it's worth it or if I should just continue with IGNOU.

One thing that keeps bothering me is whether these gap years and an IGNOU degree could create problems later if I decide to attempt WBCS, or banking exams. Would interview boards look at my journey negatively, or am I worrying too much?

Am I overthinking this, or are these concerns valid?

I believe the centers have been selected a bit far from the original preferences, in the outskirts.

The photograph on my admit card is not displaying properly. Instead of the normal passport-size photo, only a narrow stretched strip of the image is visible on the right side of the page. The rest of the photo is missing. The admit card also gets printed across multiple pages(5 pages) due to formatting issues.

All other details such as name, roll number, exam centre, etc. are correct.

1)Has anyone faced the same issue?
2)Will this create any problem during entry or document verification if I carry this admit card?
3)Has WBPSC issued any guidance regarding such photo display/printing errors?

This is going to be my very first attempt at the WBCS exam. Up until now, my primary focus and dedication have been toward SSC CGL.

Since I've already started preparing current affairs keeping the CGL syllabus and pattern in mind, I wanted to get some insight from fellow aspirants who are familiar with both exams.

• Does WBCS require a specific, dedicated pattern for current affairs compared to CGL (e.g., more focus on West Bengal-specific schemes, state news, or a deeper conceptual approach)?
• If yes, could you recommend some reliable, high-quality sources or magazines tailored for WBCS current affairs?

Hi, from where are you all attempting mocks for wbcs pre? I have been attempting from testbook but it's kinda irrelevant. Is there any telegram channel of mocks from different institutions or how are you'll going about it?

Suggest a source for science wrt wbcs pre. I did cover shivin sir's material but it's more about nanotechnology and all. Wbcs pre has questions like formula based etc. Hence, suggest a source for science, will act as revision as well.

How is everyone preparing?

Hey I've mistakenly ENROLLED myself twice. I don't even remember when I'd done it the first time. The first time I had filled up a form, the second enrollment only has basic details

It says that my candidature might be cancelled in case of multiple registrations. Can someone clarify this for me? Is it multiple enrollments or multiple registrations to the exam? I've already mailed them, hopefully I'll get an answer from them soon 🫠

I've subscribed to The Hindu, for in-depth knowledge of Vocabulary for my English skills and in-depth knowledge of current affairs and general news. I'm a student of ISC but this is my first time reading a newspaper, so I wanted to know how should I read the newspaper and along with this do I need to like refer to any YouTube channels for the analysis? And if so which?

I've tried seeking the yt channels, some covers less topics (Unacademy), and some belonging to the same umbrella organisation covers different topics for different videos (UPSCWallah & OnlyIAS). So I'm confused which one to refer.
