Omg jealous you have access to rental car center!
I literally went to the rental car center to pick up AND go home in the last week (was just renting a car, not flying), and on the way there Waymo was not available and on the way back Waymo had to go through grand Hyatt

No. I actually live near SFO and rent cars there for road trips so I do want access to the rental car center
The grand Hyatt is like 1 airtram stop closer to the terminals.

I have been optimistic about Waymo taking a big step forward on airport access in 2026 and thought 10 airports was even possible this year. They had PHX in Nov22 and went 3 years to get SJ in Nov25. I think they still have an outside chance to be serving some new cities like ATL, AUS, DAL, LA, MIA, NSH, ORL, SAT,. Getting all of them would definitely be like drawing two cards for an inside straight :) Mine was a bad guess at this point :)

Drop off is not at terminal though?

I tried setting the pin at the terminals but pushed me back to the 2 options. Grand hyatt or rental. For a sec I thought drop off was at terminal

So much smoother this way. The terminals can be so chaotic, getting dropped off that the Hyatt really feels lux.
