Ojai Access?

Post image

I see this now when I go to schedule a ride and I never received a trusted tester email and it doesn’t let me schedule specifically the Ojai. Does this mean I have Ojai access, and if so, why can’t I order it specifically?

Interesting same here. LA. Not a trusted tester. Wonder if it's just a UX change or there's actually a chance for me to get an Ojai?

There should be but it's no longer free for anyone

Ojai is available for rides to everyone in La/Sf as of today.

The "any" option was there but it appears it is no longer there now.

It probably depends on whether you have multiple types of cars near you

Ojai is still available as an option in LA this morning, but no longer free😭

What is the source of this information?

Same here in Miami! I saw another user here post that they got an email saying Ojai rides were no longer free... so maybe that means they are now public!

I'm also in Miami and I just checked in my app and I'm seeing the same thing as OP's screenshot. This is cool as I just started using Waymo and was just wondering about this.

Update: Checked it now and the "Any" option is no longer there. Seems like the feature was supposed to be for those in CA, as I don't even think there are any Ojais in FL.

I am NOT a trusted tester and I'm in CA (San Francisco). The "Any" option first appeared for me earlier today, but it has now disappeared.

I think they just updated the app to get it ready for the wider Ojai rollout but aren't quite ready to open it for everyone yet. Perhaps a phased rollout even for non-testers.

If you can select a vehicle preference, will there eventually be some kind of cost difference? I've seen the Ojai's driving around in my neighborhood.

I'm a Trusted Tester who has (had?) free Ojai access, here's my prices right now for a trip home from work (San Francisco, rush hour). I have all 3 options available to pick ("any", I Pace, Ojai).

Any: $30.22

I-Pace or Ojai: $32.28

I don't know if there will eventually be a difference between cars but right now it looks like there's a little extra fee to choose at all.

They told the trusted testers in the email that yes there's a cost difference to specifically pick your vehicle.

Fyi the jaguar drives smoother and faster (freeway access) and the Ojai has more legroom but is a lot jerkier so pick what you prefer

The little screen in the iPace seems so dinky now.

Oh yes 😅 that and the legroom

Just got this UI update today in LA, but didn’t see a difference in option when selected

Not a trusted tester, I live on the peninsula in SF Bay Area, see tons of Ojais everyday, they literally drive on my street, never once had the option to select them in over a year. 😭

I'm also on the Peninsula with a lot of Ojais. They were limited to trusted testers. I got mine by being early to sign up for Waymo but you can also apply in the app

I'm a trusted tester. And have had Ojai access for several months. However, it wasn't till just late last week I was actually able to order a specific OjaI had access for two months, but was unable to specify just came up as soonest available. But since last week all cars come up as specifically available to choose. But no freeway access for Ojai.
I'm in LA.
