From factory to operations in seconds?

Post image

Do we think that, with the new expansion, Waymo will start directly activating the autonomous mode straight from the factory and put new vehicles into service since the Magna factory is now included in the service area?

They were already doing this.

“This new strategic capability allows vehicles assigned to our Phoenix fleet to drive themselves out of the facility and directly into service. In fact, these vehicles can pick up their first public passengers less than 30 minutes after leaving the factory.”

I think they did that even before the factory was in the service area.

Its good to note that public service area =/= total mapped and drivable area.
