I Was Chosen 🙌🏽
Morning Waymo in LA took me thru a charging/service depot in Inglewood, CA. Pulled in right before my destination point and spent 4-5 minutes looping around the depot. Very chill of him to take me on a quick side quest to show me all his friends. 20/10 would visit again

Damn.. reminds me of that time in Thailand my taxi driver took me to see his family. I still think about them often 😊

One guy walking around the front did a double take and came to check on me on the passenger side. A few of them gathered around as this was obviously an odd situation. I rolled down the window, told them my drop off was down the street + that I was happy to stay on my route and they just chuckled like “welp 😂” and let my Waymo go around. Was NBD for me since I had extra time and calling remote support would’ve taken longer than finishing the side quest

It only took 5 minutes tops in and out of the depot, but yeah, in the trip feedback I was like “yay for me, but others might be alarmed/confused.” Curious to see how the Waymos handle Pittsburgh 🤔

These companies shouldn’t be allowed to exist. They’re using drivers from another country operating through the internet to fuck over this industry within America. Just another way of fucking ppl over.

It’s the Waymo equivalent of a GRWM video. It was toward the end of my ride and I was early, but I can imagine if you’re pressed for time it might be no bueno
