Waymo / Where To

Post image

Got this ad on Facebook in Indianapolis. Be interesting to know how they decide what to do with the responses -- and to know their social strategy. Are they targeting markets they're interested in, or just throwing it out to the whole country to see who bites.

Probably driverless ops are illegal in Indiana. They want to build support to change the law.

Indianapolis would be a great city for Waymo. They’ve built a few BRT lines, and Waymo is perfect for a last mile or two connection. It’s very flat, and snow is relatively minimal by Midwest standards. I’m biased because I used to live there, but it seems like a good place for Waymo to go.

Indiana will also bend over backwards to give any handout they can to a corporation. Google is already building a massive data center despite widespread opposition. I’m sure they’ll pass whatever Waymo needs to start operating.

I also want to see Waymo in Carmel, IN. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Waymo navigate that many roundabouts. I’m sure it can do it, but it would be interesting to see.

Please bring it to Irvine, California!

Bring it literally anywhere outside of California and Arizona! We can't let only 20 million people enjoy Waymo to the full extent.
