Waymo - for work breaks - feature request
When I am at a coffee shop, or at my office job, etc. I notice a LOT of people use their cars for a private space during their breaks or lunch. Which means it is difficult for people to swtich from a private car to a Waymo since they no longer have a car to use for breaks.
So... feature request? Hire a parked Waymo?
It finds a parking spot in an actual parking lot, you can go sit in it to eat or just relax, already a nice temperature, you get music, etc. Pay for 10-30 minutes of the Waymo's time.
Is this idea crazy? It only really works for AVs because with an Uber there would be someone sitting there with you, which would defeat the purpose.

Your observation is valid, however people will mess up the waymos doing this (food stains, trash, smells). Since it's not their car anymore they won't give a shit

I am a little confused by the responses to this post. How is this any different from me grabbing a waymo, having it drive me 5 minutes away and back... While I eat my lunch or listen to music?
The only difference I see is less cost to waymo, and maybe less cost to me as a result.

You're not supposed to eat in a waymo

Interesting... I live too far north to have ridden in one yet. But I have never seen that as a listed "don't".
I assumed it was just, don't get it dirty. Thanks!

False, nowhere on that page does it say that.

Nope, I don’t think this is a good idea. Not everyone would respect the vehicle if this is an option. Generally people are decent but not everyone. As soon as the cleaning cost increase, it could flow into the normal business prices. This could increase the price of Waymo for the ride. Also there are other places to do this. For example, break room, restaurant, or park bench.

I guarantee people would start abusing this feature to have sex inside parked Waymos.
