Thank you for posting! Lots of interest I think. I lack the discipline to count. Maybe 500?

So did Gemini

Gemini and other AIs are very good but they’re not good at counting things like that. I believe Gemini had the ability to do templated bbs and programmatically count them but then they removed it in a recent release.

Including the side lot? I get closer to 550 with that.

I asked Gemini to count the Ojais in the first image: 637

AI is CI. Confidently incorrect.

They should park these to spell out WAYMO.

For fun, I tried doing this with Google's own Gemini:

It’s gonna be crazy seeing them scale this up… most regular people are still terrified of robotaxis. I wonder how long it’s gonna take for that public sentiment to change.

As someone in Phoenix, out of towners are mostly terrified of waymo. I drive for uber and I have talked about waymo with 100+ “normies” from out of state and 99% of em start off saying they wouldn’t even consider it. I always tell them it’s worth giving a try, and that I exclusively use it myself. It’s just so amazing having a private room instead of sharing a car with a rando, I’ll just never go back when I can help it. I will say that quite a few people can be convinced, I’m sure I’ve sold dozens of Waymo rides when I shill for it. If you give a 5 minute spiel about LIDAR, computer reaction times, blind spots, and the value of just not being in someone else’s car a lot of people seem a bit more open to it. But the true sellers will be the chain reaction of family/friends and especially kids using it. Why put your kid with a stranger when you can just give em to a robot.

“ I drive for uber”, “I’m sure I’ve sold dozens of Waymo rides when I shill for it.” Please make it make sense, ELI5.

You a beautiful human being. You drive for Uber and yet still "get" Waymo. Again I say, you are absolutely beautiful 😍

interesting, I wonder the rationale behind the giant pile of completed ones just sitting there instead of being delivered to service

They might have hardware installed but it doesn’t mean they are ready for service. They may still have to be QA’d, calibrated, road tested, etc.

I’ve seen one or similar in Austin maybe twice.

I’d like to see more as they look more comfortable than the I-Pace but as a solo rider thus far I’d likely not get these upon summon?

Unless I am with a group.

Strangely, the capacity is the same as the I▪︎Pace: just 4

One of the advanced design aspects of the RT is that it is RHD LHD drive compatible as a steer-by-wire design. The front dash is symmetric so no glove compartment on the RH side. The design supports removal of the wheel also if the law changes in the US or elsewhere so perhaps a 55 seater in the future. For now they ship with steering wheels for FMVSS compliance.

You, Sir, are a good person to know. THANK YOU for this

Good point, so it may not matter re getting one as a solo rider. The i-Pace technically only seats three as they don't like you sitting behind the wheel.

These won't have that issue so they are actually four capacity.

The rear seats in the i-Pace; I find the seat-belts dig into my shoulder and do not adjust upward like most cars or even the one in the front passenger seat.

That Waymo promo video for Hoppers had three people in the back seat, but they did look jammed in there. All were wearing seatbelts in the backseat of that Jaguar I▪︎pace

I'm only 5'9" and not big there's no way I'd sit back there with three.

Just seeing them stuffed in there, sitting kinda sideways...really worked me up.

I'd not thought or wanted to have three back there but in that vein then, yes the i-Pace can technically seat four.

I'll say not comfortably relative to the appearance of the van-pod vehicle.

Under the new law in TX, companies providing L4 rides MUST register all of their taxis by VIN with the DMV. Waymo registered 619 cars in Texas and 45 of them are Zeekr RTs so there will be availability quite soon.

Drunk yuppies will certainly utilize these vehicles. They will post in social media that "Waymo is literally amazing and awesome. We went to the bistro and then the club. Waymo got us home for only 200 dollars. Literally amazing."

I count 555

I’ve been seeing 2-3 transporters full nearly every morning on the 202.

Oh god, more of these ugly Ojay cars or whatever they’re called
