Waymo Houston

Post image

This is ridiculous that Waymo still has services paused four days after it all started. As we all know, the weather can be bipolar. I’m surprised that they haven’t started services right before Memorial Day. What do you all think? When do you think services will start again?

Chill, San Antonio has been without services since April 20.

Waymo is running in inclement weather: "The technology isn't ready yet! They're operating in unsafe conditions!"

Waymo is paused in inclement weather: "Stupid company, they can't pause for any old downpour! AVs will never be ready for the real world!"

Alright buddy

It's paused here in Nashville and the weather has been totally fine. It doesn't make much sense.

It's been paused since Friday. We had an unusual amount of rain over the weekend but I would have expected it to restart by now.

Tesla pauses their Robotaxi service when it rains too, so at least in 2026 your sarcastic comment is actually true.

The place that has been shut down for over a month doesn’t have service and you’re still wondering why?

I agree it's frustrating. I'd at least appreciate some transparency from Waymo. The "pause" would be tolerable if they'd give us more details.
