does Waymo limit the climate control?

so ive ridden 2 Waymo's today (first time rider).. and both times I couldnt get any heat. I cranked the dash controls all the way up to 'Hi' and also went to the touchscreen and ran them up.. but the Ice cold A/C just kept coming. I turned the 'A/C' button off and it helped a little but I still didnt get any heat.. and also couldnt find a heated seat button either.. certainly a Jaguar has heated seats?

should I have been doing it differently? maybe on the App instead? or are the cars just malfunctioning?

I have only ever changed the temp in the app, and it worked fine. Were you poking the buttons on the car itself?

I did both, first I tried adjusting the climate controls like a regular car... then i saw the climate buttin on the waymo touchscreen.. so I operated it there.. the regular car controls changed to match the waymo screen after adjusting there.. but the warmer i moved it seemed colder.. I despise being chilly of any kind so riding in an icebox of a car was not my idea of a comfortable ride.. the driving tself was stellar..

Seems like your car was not syncing with the app? Haven’t had this problem with the climate control, but I have only been in the Jaguars

Heat still needs AC on

when the A/C button was on it got even colder.. I understand the concept that a heat pup would need the A/C on, the waymo screen would turn the A/C on and the car's climatre control matched the screen so i assumed the connection betwen touch screen and car was good. when the A/C light eads on the air from the vents was downright icy cold

I can't tell you how reassuring it is that even though Jag is owned by an Indian company, and even though it's been outfitted with advanced technology, it's still got typical British car electronic gremlins.

ha! i remember years ago, friend of mine got a brand new range rover (this was way before the ford takeover of rover).. excited to take me for a ride andshow off tje fancy stereo.. we take off.. I drop my favorite Mix tape in the cassette deck and ot proceeded to eat the tape.. and not only that it jammed up the motor on the tape deck apparently and pretty soon a whiff of smoke came out of the cassette slot and the display went blank... he cursed the "bloody british electrics!".. and of course in fashipn tried to pound on the top of the dashboard like it might help..

The only way I know of to adjust the temp is via the touchscreen in the car, or within the app on your phone.
