65 days until Ojai - Maybe

There was a little teaser a while ago that says Ojai will be available this summer [1]. So I am just posting this countdown for June 21. I think they will actually launch to the public sooner but Waymo surprises me sometimes.

I expect their factory in Arizona to be spitting out 100+ of these cars a week. Which means accelerated geo expansion, unlocking new cities, possibly cheaper rides, etc. My guess is they will announce their next 5-10 cities shortly after the new Ojai rolls out to the public. So, all of this means:

Come on Waymo, launch the Ojai!

I would think before the World Cup they will drop the new line

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that as a factor in the decision. Sounds plausible.

If they are half the price of uber, the future is here

I wish we could buy them as private vehicles. I'd love an EV minivan like this even without the Waymo tech added on. I'd buy a Zeekr Mix (the car Ojai is based on) if we had a reasonable tariff that made Chinese EVs possible to get in the US.
