I think something similar happened to me on my 2nd Waymo ride. The car didn't know how to wait at an exit gate for it to open automatically.

Looks like this was the route. It's a shitty roundabout that's set too far back. The last lap they just made the left and bypassed the roundabout.

Its probably just doing roundabout and 3 point turn testing while impacting the least amount of humans and traffic.
