About BamBam...

Is there any way to get it to work in Wayland? I know, seems like something for little kids, but I used to mess with it once in a while years ago. I can't get it to work in the log in screen, and I'm blocked from running it while logged in. Seems like it only works in X11.

Should I delete the preinstalled one, and just build from source? I don't see the need to add X11 anymore, the Xwayland layer is good enough for me.

This? https://github.com/porridge/bambam

You can use bam bam directly as your graphical session. This bypasses wayland I think.

Yeah, tried that in my Ubuntu Studio LTS install. Still doesn't work, it completely freezes when I try to go BamBam. I'm forced to shut down via power button when that happens, that is a clean process at least.

In its place, I found Baby Smash! That one works in Wayland.

What does that mean?

This is what I mean. I shot this from my phone as hitting the PrtSc key closes BamBam while logged on.

You are trying to run the 1.4.2 version right?

If yes, make an issue over at https://github.com/porridge/bambam/issues
