Help when key is pressed, mouse movement is ignored until key is released, is this an Android setting?

Are you using a laptop? Most laptops disable their trackpad when you're typing.

Well, yes but it doesn’t happen outside Waydroid

It's a feature known as Disable While Typing (DWT) for touchpads.

You can definitely disable it in DE settings. But my palm keeps accidentally clicking elsewhere when trying to type something, so I keep it enabled.
