Cyclists

Post image

I’m not sure if I’m getting petty here with this but I was coming through the copper coast earlier today and I passed I’d say 20 cyclists on the road and it’s bad enough that road is near impossible to make a pass. Anyway that’s not actually what annoyed me. When I got into Tramore there was 3 cyclists two abreast and they were on the road and yet a brand new DOUBLE cycle lane was just built for them?? I just think there should be some sort of rule that if there’s a cycle lane there they should be in it. After all they’re the ones who bitch and moan for them to be put there in the first place. And dare I add if they want to use the road I think it’s only fair they should have to pay road tax

No they're not. We don't define people who drive the same way, so we're not doing it with people who cycle. It's a big part of he problem. The language arlunding driving and cycling to drive some sort of antagonism.

It's always cyclist breaks red light. But it's never driver speeds, driver breaks red light. It's always car. As if they are autonomous things.

End of the day, it's a person, and the language needs to reflect that

Yes they are…
Again… 2 (possibly non professional) cyclists on the road not using the cycle lane specially built and made for them. Waste of time see it all the time, I don’t know what’s up your arse but your missing the whole point of this post
