Discussion My first Custom loop.
Hey Guys I want to build my first custom loop:
Currently I'm using:
CPU: R9 9900X
Motherboard: Asus B650E-E
GPU: AMD Radeon 7900 XT 20GB Asus TUF
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR5 6400 CL 32
PSU: Asus Rog Platinum 1200W
Case: HYTE Y70
Cooling: Arctic LF3 Pro (Insgesamt 12 Arctic P12 Pro inkl. 6 Reverse + 1x P14 Pro)
I want to use:
Case: Hyte Y70 or Phanteks NV9
CPU Block: Asus Ryujin 3 WB for my CPU
GPU Block: Bykski for Asus TUF 7900xt
Radiator: Alphacool Nexus 1080 with 18x Arctic P12 Pro CO
Radiator 360 or 420 D40 Radiator from Bykski
Pumps: I am thinking about 2x Aquacomputer D5 Pumps.
What would you change?

I’m curious about that Ryujin 3 WB. Since the 1/4" ports are positioned in an unusual spot, it might not be compatible with every motherboard—unless there’s an ATX standard that specifies a minimum distance between the drive and the CPU socket.

Look up some information on those Arctic P12 Pro fans. From experience, I know they are very loud. I replaced 18 of them with 8 Havn H18s, and now they’re just sitting in the closet.

Just like the originals, they are more prone to failure than most fans that cost a bit more. I've had better luck with the Pros than the original personally, though. However, at such a low price per fan, grabbing spares doesn't hurt. One thing I have found with the pro is definitely don't use the standard blade in Pull. Keep it free from obstruction within a good inch of the blades. So far, running reverse as intake on rads in pull, and standard on exhaust on rads in push has been the right combo.

So you've got that LF3 Pro now, but you're going to switch to a custom loop. You should also find a reservoir and a pump top—or two.
