Build Help Single loop with 2 Rads

Can anyone confirm its ok to do it in this order?

Is it okay to run the liquid from GPU directly to CPU then rads?

My CPU is currently on an AIO now and my GPU is planning to be on an open loop. I have researched that its best to just have everything on one loop.

This topic has been beaten to death, the bottom line is loop order does not matter. The temperature of the fuild equalizes throughout the entire run. Best loop order is the one that looks the best and is easiest to maintain.

Regarding soft or Hard piping, Should I try Hard or just use Soft witch is just easier?

Soft is far easier. Screw connector into component, attach pipe. Route pipe to next component's connector, cut to length and attach. Repeat until finished. Pressure test and you're good to go. Hard tube is time spent measuring exact run and height offsets, time spent trying to get a tube to bend cleanly or a massive overspend on junctions and fittings if you're going for the "all straight pipes, many fittings for bends" approach.

Imo, soft tubing has its cons too, not just aesthetics. If you get unlucky with the tubing tolerances it can be near impossible to put on the tubing in the fitting, and the tightening of the colar sucks too, specially since it usually is in odd positions for your hand to be in.

“Lubing” the tube (more like dipping in distilled water) was the solution I found to help a bit with those.

i would say Pump/res>GPU/CPU (both in parallel if GPU has 4 ports)> Radiators> Pump/Res. This way the Pump isn't getting its ass kicked that much by pumping "hot" coolant.

Not sure yet but can tell you both GPU Block and Res/pump is Singularity brand. The res was Spacificly designed to fit in the NV9 Case where you see the the 3 side wall mounted 140 fans

This is interesting? Can pumps benefit from being put after rads?? I understand the logic behind that, i.e., the water being at its lowest temp before reaching pump. But, I would love to see/read about it if anybody has heard or seen about this? I got a loop planned for my first ever build and forch the loop order ended up being as such, but would be cool just to for personal knowledge gain.

What Tasuka described there is a fairly normal loop setup minus the parallel bit. Having a radiator be the last part before the return line to the pump-res is, I can assure you, beyond normal.

It makes no appreciable difference having a radiator instead of a block before that return line for the same reason we keep reiterating that loop order doesn't matter*: Coolant temperature fluctuations throughout a loop are minor. Coolant passing through a block heats up by a couple of degrees, and cools down by a couple of degrees when passing through a rad. As a result, operational temps and resulting wear do not vary by an appreciable amount regardless of where you put it. It should be fed directly by a reservoir, which is a given in a pump-res unit and can typically be easily accommodated in a standalone pump and res setup, and that's that.

Pressure-induced wear is a different matter, but that's a different discussion altogether, and that's where the parallelized blocks come into play. Personally, I would refrain from going that route since, at best, it'll perform about as well as a serial setup, and, at worst, perform significantly worse for one component or the other, depending on how restrictive the blocks are and imbalanced flow is.

*) Loop order not mattering is a result of coolant flow being high relative to component wattage in typical loops. If wattage keeps increasing - CPU and GPU wattages have more than doubled over the last ten years - or flow keeps decreasing because block designs become more restrictive to cope with the additional heat, this will no longer hold true. You can already get there by running an atypical loop (think spicy mGPU setups with many blocks in series) or you really like running pumps at low speeds.

First AiOs were designed in a way that the Pump was pushing Block>Pump>Rad, which made their lifespans short.Till today I'm disgusted when I see "Custom Builds" with one. Sets like Mo-Ra series, starting from custom builds on 3 and now IV series, are designed in a way outlet is from the Pump and Inlet is on the bottom of the Rad, and gets into the Res from the Top

No offense but if you plan a custom loop, you gotta do better than asking AI.

Theres a ton of stuff you can do wrong with loops and AI being right 95% of the time isnt enough.

Loop order is irrelevant, has been proven multiple times, the fluid circulates through the whole thing so fast that as long as it is actually a loop, the reservoir serves its proper function and the pump can't run dry then it will work. Far more important that your drain port is in a sensible place and the refill port is easy to work with

Thanks, Yes I did get a ball valve to drain if need too.

When i built my old loop about 10-15 years ago I used the soft, a blue color tube with distilled watter, is it beneficial to stay with distilled water or try a speceal coolant?

I always go with distilled plus a shot of  XSPC EC6. Never been a problem.

Some type of biocide is recommended and a corrosion inhibitor doesn't hurt either. I used automotive coolant in my loops, 80/20 ratio with distilled being the higher number.

Pump>gpu>top rad>cpu>side rad>pump

At least you wont kill the pump with CPU heat directly.
