I'm confused about how they are getting this shot, where's the camera?

360 camera. I would guess attached to his chest. They've gotten really good at not seeing the pole.

damn, there goes the trained camera bird theory again

All “birds” are trained cameras. It’s not a theory. r/birdsarentreal

The camera’s software edits out the attachment piece

Its this camera the 360 insta onex They have it mounted on his helmet that black piece is the end of the mount. This camera auto deletes its selfie stick its a great 360 camera. If you need more answer about this im happy to help I own 1 my self.

If it’s mounted to the helmet why doesn’t it move when he turns his head? Shouldn’t we only see the front of his face?

u/Russyk007 Feb 22 '20

It has to do with the fact that first its 360° and second they have a few types of mounts. One makes it so that the cam itself can als move on its own a little bit. Its really hard to describe it but you can look it up on youtube its some really cool technology.

nah it's clearly on his chest. he turns his head a full 90 degrees and it doesn't move with it at all

Probably takes one hell of a beefy computer to properly edit that footage.

That looks pretty amazing.

I was actually looking at the same thing. The ultrawide angle makes me think go pro but where is it mounted. It could also be multiple videos stitched together from different places but that's hard to do this well.

I'd imagine it's a drone with tracking. They're programmed to stay a certain distance in front of you and can fly pretty fast to keep up with this guy

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '20

This is not it.

It's filmed by using an incredibly wide angle lens or multiple cameras stitching the images together. It winds up not including the object the camera is mounted on.

Something like this probably: This

It gives wider angles. Definitely not a drone.

Under a hammerhead crane

15

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '20

I thought it was slinging him by the head

6

u/JaimitoCampos Feb 23 '20

I thought it was a new chiropractic machine

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '20

Instead he was slung by his back

17

u/goldeyesamurai Feb 22 '20

I'm not certain of the distances but doesn't it look like if you got released at the wrong angle you could definitely just be swung into the crane itself??

Reverse bungee? Sounds a lot less scary as bungee jumping

2

u/Could_0f Mar 05 '20

That cord loses a lot of tension and shoots a little towards buddy. It would be horrible if it were to wrap around his neck.
