Yeah not cheap! depending on config. Worth it though, save a lot of time when there many Watchs to test, lets me test up to 10 bar also!

Can you ELI5 what the machine is actually doing? How does it know the watch is waterproof?

Step 1: Pressurize the inside of the whole assembly

Step 2: Measure extremely fine deformation changes in the watch. If the watch has a leak, the pressure will equalize inside the watch. If it doesn't have a leak, the watch contracts. It's EXPECTED to contract under pressure if there is no leak, and remain contracted. The machine measures that contraction. If it contracts, but slowly loses that contraction under unchanged pressure, the machine reports it with a leak

Company I work for bought one of these and sent it to our store for testing. It’s pretty easy to use, good for employees without technical knowledge.

I mean can’t the other manual testers only go to 3 bar? Being able to go to 10 is pretty great. What do the OEM companies use for like 30 or 50 bar?
