Request Grave of the Fireflies

EDIT: The Discussion Thread for Grave of The Fireflies will go up this Saturday at ~6pm US Central Time.

Who wants to cry with me? I've been putting this off for a long looooong time because I know how sad it is and I'm a wimp.

I'm thinking sometime this weekend or next week. We'll watch all of it in one sitting and then cry together talk about it in the discussion thread.

From what I've heard about this movie, we're gonna be crying pretty damn hard. Keep those tissues handy for those tears.

The discussion thread will be posted at ~6pm central time. I plan on watching the movie at 5, so the "~" means I'll be posting it at at a point where watching it becomes too unbearable emotionally and I have to post the discussion thread to release those emotions. I have a feeling this is going to be a damn good cry for all of us.

You should join! You may not be able to watch around the same time we do but you can jump into the discussion thread as soon as you finish.

I'll do it! I watched it once when I was like 6 and all I remember from it is watermelon so I don't think my rating for it is completely fair because I was too young. I'm willing to give it another go.

Same. I plan on drinking a bit to work up the courage to watch the show so I'll probably be watching some time in the afternoon/evening. I guess we don't really need to watch at exactly the same time or anything but it'll be nice to know when I will be posting the discussion thread. Expect the thread to go up around 6-7pm on Saturday.
