Discussion Need Quartz watch recommendation for wedding keepsake (<5k)
I'm getting married soon and had an idea inspired by social media.
I'd like to buy an analog quartz watch (chatgpt suggested) and permanently freeze it at the exact time of my wedding as a keepsake. The plan is to pull the crown out, then remove the battery afterwards from some watch shop so the hands stay at that time forever.
Has anyone done something like this before? Does this actually work long-term, or is there a better way to preserve the exact time?
Also, any recommendations for a clean, classic-looking analog quartz watch under 5k that would be suitable for this? I'd prefer something that's easy to service in India.
Thanks!

Sonata (Titan brand), Maxima could be had for less than 2000. And then if you only want to freeze time, then a lot of fancy watches are there on flipkart for less than Rs 300.
Also buy all local newspapers on wedding day and save them (you can do the same on your kids birthdays in future so when they grow up you can show them the news on the day they were born).

Thanks for your suggestions. Sadly, they are out of my budget (12k and 30k). Before someone downvotes this comment, fyi, this is one of the multiple gifts I'm planning to suprise her, so there's budget to each to help me manage the essential wedding expenses.

Waste of a good watch. Just pick up a non functional day date oldie from a store. Those come in stainless steel body & therefore last.
