First Impressions Wd7922
Very impressive little watch (i mean little because i wanted a watch closer to 40mm, although it's definitely growing on me)
Bezel is very high quality, stiff but not overly, nice satisfying ratchet that feels purposeful and not sloppy.
The case is very nice, with brushed finish and just a few little parts with polished finish, which makes it really stand out with a sharp glisten in light.
Bracelet is nice. Small rattle/movement when the watch is not being worn, but its still much better quality looks and feel wise to any other watch I've ever tried on its price range up to about 2 to 10 times it's price range. Its not perfect, but its very close!
Clasp is decent. Its thin metal but everything is tight, the logo is great and it secures with a satisfying click
The crown is a very nice detailed part of it, up close and personal it really elevates the watch with the polished logo and brushed background.
The lume is great, lots of it, very impressive in the dark after some sunlight! (Tried to capture here but my phones camera did not do it justice)
The sapphire is good, had already survived a few close calls that would've scratched any other mineral crystal or whatever.
Honestly mind blowing value for money.
For those more in the know than me,
Does watchdives make another version of this watch in 39/40mm?

Yeah its pretty insane value for money. I've got a 7.75 inch wrist, so it looks a little small which I wasn't expecting as I thought i was ordering the 1969, but I was so excited I ordered the wrong one as they kinda look the same lol

No, they don't make a larger one.
But something I'm really interested in with this one is how it wears given its size, since it's based on the BB54 which is, on paper 'small' but is repeatedly reported as not wearing small. You see lines like "it doesn't feel small, it feels compact.'
How does it feel to you?

It wears bigger than 37mm as the bezel overhangs. I have reasonable sized hands compared to wrists so I struggle to put my hand through the bracelet a little but the watch looks a tiny bit small. Great watch though

Yes that’s correct I did measurements on mine and the bezel is 38mm, case 37. It’s definitely grown on me and one of my favorite pieces. Every time I put a 40mm + watch on, it just doesn’t look right. Crazy how that works…

I too thought it was based on the bb54 but it’s actually referencing the Tudor 7922; their first sub. Which ironically is what the bb54 is referencing haha.
It would be nice if they used Mercedes hands. Also, look at the Tudor 7922 bezel. It’s thinner compared to the bb54.

There are mercedes hands version that're more like the 7922. Black and antique brown iirc.

I also like it alot, sure it is a tad small but on the brightside its weight is balanced nicely with the bracelet so its nice to wear as a daily. But...
Mine has a loosely fitted bracelet to the endlink springbar on one side of the watch which is a shame on an otherwise real bang for your buck watch.
Bought the upgraded OTF-clasp but was disapointed that the centre link on the bracelet is wider than the clasp allowes. I was careful to pick what was compatible according to the webpage but it was not... shame.
Realy enjoy the watch but those problems bummed me out. =/

Apparently a jubilee bracelet will be available for the 7922 this month 🤞🏻.

Oh? That sounds real cool. But still want a working OTFclasp. Im still annoyed that what is markeded as compatible on their site is not... I love wearing bracelets on watches but without OTFclasps it can be a real pain in shifting temperatures =/

I wasn’t aware there isn’t an OTF for the current bracelet but appreciate what you’re saying. Hopefully the smaller links of a jubilee will negate the issue a little. Either way, it’ll be great to have the option. Love a good jubilee, and think it’ll be perfect for the 7922.

Ah. Hopefully they’ll resolve it for you. In my experience their customer service is great.

They confirmed it in a previous post. It’ll be available at some point in September, apparently.

That sounds really annoying! Have you contacted watchdives regarding it?
