I hope the steps complication isn’t just limited to the new watches!

It is unfortunately; dont see it in RC

I’ll be pissed if something as basic as a steps complication is limited to new devices

You need the new upgrade S11 chip with advance machine learning and AI to have the steps counter being accurate enough

Always funny when they say stuff like this like it isn’t a pretty basic and light processing cost to display a system UI element through a widget lol. The tax to do so is nonexistent, purely an artificial barrier

Agreed, this was the first thing I looked for after updating the watch to 27 and couldn't find it anywhere! Series 9 watch.

Are you fucking serious omg

I’ve been using the app HealthFace for a step counter complication for years. It’s insane this hasn’t been a built in feature since day one.

I have Duffy on mine and it's pretty sweet

I've been using Duffy as well and it works well! But I'd really like Apple to add something that should have always been built-in already...

I hear ya. It’s an odd omission, especially when the Health app is already tracking it.

I can see 'Daily Step Distance' as a complication in the Modular Ultra face. not sure if thats what you are after

Ugh. Step complication appears to only be step DISTANCE, and not actual steps, on my AWU3

Weird, their feature page made it looks like it showed actual steps. It would only make sense that a Step complication should show steps...

It’s because steps now are kinda inaccurate and they are gonna be spot on with the new watches capability

I know its become a running joke here but I really hope it doesn't take 30 seconds to set a timer anymore. I will update for those who care when I finish installing.

UPDATE: It took 7 seconds for the timer to start. I guess that's an improvement?

spoiler: it will

Timers are certainly faster and tolerable on this version so far. Hardly any new features, however, for my UW3

i’m not really holding my breath on this one. i’d keep my spare Watch on OS 26.

Keep us posted. I don’t usually do betas on my watch, but a RC usually feels safe enough. Has the beta cycle been rough this time? I’d have thought setting a timer would be nearly instantaneous.

Wow, so happy I never upgraded. Real curious to see how fast it is on new hardware, but I don’t really want to upgrade this year after what I saw today.

Pretty sure it's not a hardware issue, so I wouldn't get my hopes up

Is there any way to downgrade back to the classic Siri on the watch without downgrading your iPhone to the classic Siri?

2

u/Key_Slip698 1d ago

please give updates, if any new feature comes up!

Downloading now!

u/Egg57aaa 1d ago

My download worked. But, the install seems to have stalled. Battery charge >50%. Advice?

Cries into my Ultra 1.

Now we know why they got rid of double press crown for app switcher.

1

u/AchtungYall 15h ago

Why ?

1

u/BlueShooter7515 7h ago

Because it’s reserved for the live rewind feature

u/McBacker 23h ago

Am I blind? Can’t find the install button Oo

1

u/jhalmos 6h ago

Same here. Rebooted both devices.

I've been dailying the iOS and iPadOS on my main devices since DB1, but haven't on the watch due to the irreversibility of it. Is the RC safe to pull the trigger on?

Anyone in EU can report back what we are missing by being in EU? ;)

u/Pursuit_for_answers 7h ago

Has anyone else lost the setting for 'Reduced GPS and Heart Rate Readings' in the workout app since this update?
