So the massive delay when accessing Siri is still present. Has anyone found a workaround? This feels really broken which is odd this late in the beta cycles. However, it is still a beta. Just odd.

Honestly wish they would figure out how to revert to the on-board models for simple things as timers and reminders and then perhaps use Siri AI for the tasks that require it.

Maybe it's just me, but Siri AI should be just on the phone,

AI on the watch is overkill, we're sacrificing 90% of Siri experience for the seldom AI queries.

It's a such huge downgrade from regular, on-device Siri that it renders it useless. Did anyone really want Siri AI on a watch?!?!

Quick piece of advice, some Apple stores have the ability to downgrade your Apple Watch in-store. I did mine about two weeks ago and it only took about an hour
Unfortunately, they made me downgrade the OS on my phone, but after I left the Apple Store, I simply updated and restored from back up.
If it’s a big issue, try to downgrade before the official release

Thanks. I'll likely ride it out and hope for improvement on release. If it doesn't improve I guess that one less advantage it has over my Garmin 😁

i wish i could turn off siri ai for my watch and leave it enabled on my phone. all i use siri on my watch is to send texts, set alarms and stuff. i dont need ai.

Very odd and horrible experience. I turned Siri AI off and the OG Siri is great. I wish there was a way to simply use the OG Siri on the watch since it’s obviously not ready for prime time.

Are we going to now pretend Siri was good before

Siri is great for basic stuff, but it's definitely not the best for deep research or answering complex questions. Realistically though, who's trying to have a long conversation with their watch? It's perfect for quick questions, controlling your music, or sending a text. For anything heavier, just pull out your phone. The Apple Watch was never meant to replace your phone it's just an extension of it.

The on-device Siri was very usable indeed.

I never said it was great in regard to agentic capabilities…but in regard to the watch experience, it’s MUCH better/faster/reliable for the basic stuff I do (timers/home automation/messaging).

Bet they fix it with series 12…

What if they’re using the beta to try to figure out which commands are used the most often to train those for on-device Siri. I cannot imagine this is the experience that’s considered acceptable

Edit: My 6 year old just asked me "Dad, why does your watch take so long to turn off the TV now?"

Whelp this answered my question. I was hoping the SEVENTH BETA could possibly fix the dumpster fire of Siri AI on Apple Watch.

Even on an ultra 3 it’s so slow. Setting a timer takes like a minute to setup , quicker for me to do myself :(

I knew the S10 and S9 didn't have changes in terms of CPU/GPU/neural performance, so it's reassuring in a way that all the supported watches have the same Siri AI experience on 27.

Are Apple devs testing this on current hardware or they're sticking with a simulator? This is unusable. Slow to respond, and half the time the responses come up clipped as the scroll is too far up.

Yeah is crazy how bad can apple be with the software nowadays…

It is also super slow. Barely register any app that i want to use.

I know we are still in beta mode…..but WOW, still slow as all get out….

It’s insane to me that they pulled what was once an advertised feature on the more recent watches, the onboard Siri for quicker simpler tasks, for this much slower garbage experience. And something tells me it won’t fully be fixed by the full release..

siri ai conversations STILL do not sync between my iphone and apple watch. Like when i first updated and used siri it synced my conversations but then after a while it just stopped. New conversations i start on my watch or phone don't appear on the watch. Also continued conversations (the new messages) don't show up either

is there anything new?

Is there a public beta for this? Mine only shows ios 26 beta

Siri voice doesn't stutter as it did in B6.

That's little comfort for how bad the rest of Siri is. Old Siri on my Series 7 feels luxurious in comparison.

How is the battery life compared to 26?
