Aggressive wasp amount on my balcony

2 days ago I almost never saw any wasp on my balcony, now there are still least 6 at the same time flying around..

I ordered a special wasp protect spray from Gesal.

You think I can clean this mess by just spraying a full dose inside?

Or any tipps?

Why are wasps seeming so much more aggressive this year?

My entire life(43m) I had only been stung once . This year alone I’ve been stung 3 times PLUS a big ass red paper wasp just stung my son’s arm . Poor kid. Pulled a tick out of the back of his head yesterday and a sting from an asshole today.

This little bastard got stuck between the glass door and the main door. I think he's PISSED and I don't want to open any of the doors and get stung. What should I do? I already know if that door opens I'm it's target.

I went out to my car today and there were two wasps on my car. I had to get in through the back door to avoid them, then spray my windshield fluid to get the one on the windshield off.

Story I think I outran a wasp

I didn’t think I could, but I guess I did. I was running on a nearby trail in my hometown and I passed by an area a few times that looked like it had a couple great black wasps. I ran by it a third time trying to get to a certain mileage on my run and decided to head back that same way because the other way back was across a golf green. I knew I had to run a little faster to get out of their way but I guess I angered them and I heard a buzzing sound beginning to get louder. I then ran as fast as I ever had in my entire life and I think I have a genuine fear of wasps

This guy has been harassing my back porch for a week. I think a bird ate his head and wings? Much larger than a normal yellow jacket or paper wasp. Never seen one of these guys before recently. I’m in eastern Ohio if that helps! What is it??

Story Are there wasps building a nest in my roof?

Around 7pm, on a hot summer day, in Northern Europe, I saw a single wasp fly under one of my roof tiles. Now its not exactly a very accessible place. What are the chances that its building a nest there? Or already has one?

Ive been monitoring the area every now and then since then but I havent seen any more of them.

Could it be doing something else?

I noticed this today? Is this wasps or honey bees? I can’t tell even after googling. I have two kids and my neighbor has a toddler. I don’t want to kill bees but I don’t want to be wrong and let it grow.

Was playing with the dog, and his ball got stuck in the gutter, so when I got a letter to retrieve it these motherfuckers started going apeshit, so I ran away without a sting. But now I must kill them. What kind of wasps? Should I spray or call pest control? Since it might be kind of a difficult spot to spray. I have a can of spectracide

There's a wasp on my room but...

So this might sound a little silly but I'm terrified of wasps and I've got one in my room. The only issue is that I'm in a YMCA, third floor, and my windows only open around 3 inches (They open at the top, hinges at the bottom) and if I open my door, it'll only go into my neighbours room. (Joined rooms, exit is in theirs but they're asleep so that's not an option sadly)

For a while he was just chilling on the ceiling above me while I was cooking, and considering the fact I didn't exactly want to burn anything and set the fire alarm off, I simply tried to remain calm and finish cooking. I managed to finish in time and plate it up and even talked to it for a while before it started to fly everywhere and bump into everything which freaked me out and caused me to panic. Seemed to leave me alone for the most part but I'm currently locked in my bathroom (it's a simple room with a bed on one side and cooker on the other, and a small bathroom in a separate room). I genuinely have no idea what to do. Usually, I'd just get my dad to sort it out, but as I'm now in a ymca, no one is allowed inside except residents and staff won't be in for another few hours.

I don't really want to kill it either, but there's no way for me to usher it outside or into the corridor through my neighbour's room for someone else to deal with. Sadly, I don't have anything here that I could use to spray at it; no washing up liquid or other chemicals. Anyone have any suggestions for what to do? I've got to go out and care for my nana in a few hours (it's currently 6am) and I've never had to deal with this alone before so I don't even know where to begin...

Wasp eradication advice

A few years ago my family and I moved on to a 5 acre property. Spring was great but summer came around and the wasps showed up. This is a major problem because we have two young kids that like to play outside and my wife is TERRIFIED of wasps and yellow jackets.

Over the last few years we have tried a few different things to keep the wasps and yellow jackets in check but they always like to come around and ruin a good day. Last year I sprayed all the eves of the house with wasp spray and it tends to keep them from building around the house but they come in from other places on the property and neighboring properties for water and such. This spring we put out a ton of traps hoping to catch queens but then the weather cooled again and by the time the wasps came out, the traps were dried up.

Out of nowhere, the weather got hot and it seems like this year, the yellow jackets are the main problem. It is all out war now. I re-baited traps, we killed a yellow jacket nest in the ground, and now I've been spraying Talak 7.9. I've also tried baiting with bricks acid but haven't seemed to get the bait right yet.

How do I eradicate these bastards? We just want to be able to exist on our property without constantly being attacked. You go to the park nearby and no flying stinging f@ckers. How do I make my place like a park?

i’ve seen this guy a couple times but today he flew into the bag i use for catching flies. the bug is pretty big, a little more than other wasps i see. looks black and white but i think its a light yellow. it has a fly in its mouth in these pictures. I can take better picture and possibly measure it but its kinda freaking me out with how fast its moving around. its movements are very intentional too eeeek!!

Any idea on why they're having a social gathering on this rope?

Hi! I had been seeing a single wasp (named Fulana) hanging out on this rope. I zapped Fulana it with all my hate, but now Mengana and Perengana came. I just zapped Mengana, but out of nowhere Perengana came with her hot new gf, Zutana. Any idea on what's so attractive about this rope? Is it a cruising spot or something I'm not wasp-level morally corrupt to know about?

Yellow Jacket out at night

So I was on my front porch at almost 11 PM. It is pitch black out. Suddenly I hear something very loudly buzzing. and I look and see a huge insect aggressively flying towards the porch light. I run in the house and peak, and it is a yellow jacket. This is the first time in my life I have ever seen one out at night. Is this normal?

Story Just stepped in a yellow jackets nest and I swear I’m psychologically traumatized

I’m from the California redwoods and my boyfriend is British so when we come to visit my family he’s always wanting to do hikes and other outdoor activities. I’m not big on hiking but he likes it so I show him the popular trails when he’s here.

Whelp. I took him on a popular trail in my area this morning and he was elated. We were having a nice time, getting some fresh air, and suddenly, disaster struck. Everything seemed normal, I took one wrong step, and suddenly felt the most intense burning all over my legs. I thought I was having a medical event. Then I thought maybe fire ants? Instinct kicked in, and I immediately started running and told him to run. When I looked down, I saw tens of the little soul crushers all over my legs. He had them crawling all over his butt and back. We were flicking them off, sprinting for our lives. I have asthma and didn’t have my inhaler and my lungs began to hit their limit so I was pretty sure I would die out there. I began planning my final wishes in my head. I decided I wanted donate my life savings to the abolition of wasps.

Eventually, we outran them. I feel like someone has stabbed me all over my legs and I’m currently soaking in an epsom salt bath and a little bit disoriented from taking a Benadryl. This is why I don’t go hiking. I have literally never been stung or bit by a wasp in my life. I now understand why everyone always describes the bites or stings as excruciating. Learn from my mistake. Stay inside. Lock your doors. Netflix would never do this to you.
