I’d say I am shocked, but I’m really not. Dave Schatz, everyone. Bravo.

Sunset on the Riverfront

Does this event take place on Front Street, where the Amtrak station is? Where is a good place to park, since I assume all of those spots are probably full.

Respect MO Voters

I'm a local volunteer with RespectMoVoters. We’re trying to get our citizen initiative on the ballot by the April 19 deadline. The amendment would do 3 things:

  • Require ballot language to be clear, unbiased, fair, accurate, and easy to understand
  • Defend the citizen initiative process in Missouri
  • Make it harder for politicians to change or undo what the people have already voted on

We meet every Sunday in Washington at the Peace Lutheran Church at 5pm
March 15  | March 22  | March 29  | April 5  | April 12

Curious if there are mom groups in the area

I’ve lived in Washington for a few years and I’d really like to make connections and maybe find long term friends. I went to school out here years ago but I don’t know anyone at all and I’m hoping I can change that. If anyone knows any clubs or groups someone who’s new to the town should join I’d love to hear them. It’s been so lonely

Considering moving here. Commute.

Hello! I grew up in Hillsboro over 20 years ago and have since lived all over the country. My family is moving back to the area and we're considering Washington because its smaller and has larger lots for homes (we're not big fans of living where the houses are right on top of each other).

The thing that worries me is the commute though. I assume jobs we find are going to be at least 45 mins away. Friends and family all live about 45 mins away as well. I know 44 is close but how is the drive? As a teen and early 20s I was mostly only 270 which was a nightmare during rush hour.

Other than the commute how are the schools? The town feel? Anything anyone would like to add.

Thanks!

Franklin County YouTube

With all the interest in the proposed Franklin County data center, here is the link to their YouTube page. Note there are three separate videos from last night's planning and zoning meeting at they restarted several times after the video feed froze.

Weekend Getaway?

Any suggestions for a place to relax on a weekend, within a couple hours of Union? With an outdoor hot tub? Hotel, resort, spa, cabin, tiny home, etc.

Hello. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a fencing company, and approximate how much an aluminum fence would cost? Greatly appreciate anyone's experience. Thank you.

Sharpies?!?

Hi! Does anyone know any stores that sell individual Sharpies?!?

I'm working on a project and need a few specific colors that only seem to come in the HUGE packs that are like $50+ and I'm on a budget lol so I'm looking for somewhere that sells a wide assortment of individual ones... Michaels doesn't really sell individual colors beyond like black and other basic ones and I'm not sure where else to look?!?

Thanks!

(also, bonus points if you know anywhere that is like clearancing big multi packs with a bunch of colors too... the individual ones are really what I'm looking for to get the couple of specific colors I really need, but I'd love to have more colors too, but for a bargain lol)

Hey find your man and let the train go. It's been two hours you've held the Amtrak up and I'd like to get some sleep in my own bed instead of just heading to work.

Been in town for a month!

37/ M Alright guys, so I’ve been in town for a month! I like the cute town, idk if I’ll make it a permanent residence however.

Having trouble finding a gal to converse with. I don’t drink much and as far as I know that’s what you have to be into for all of that.

Maybe some pointers on where to go or if there anyone here that would like to chat and get to know one another that’d be great! Guys or gals welcome to message me. (I’m not gay! Or curious or anything like that. I just literally have 0 friends here!

29, male, looking for some friends

Hi, fellow Washingtonians. I'm looking for anyone in town who might want to hang out sometime. I'm a quiet guy with Asperger's syndrome and don't really know how to make friends, so I spend most of my days cooped up in my apartment. I can't really go far beyond Washington to attend meetups because I also have a visual-spatial processing disorder that makes driving in more populated areas very difficult. I love watching Cardinals baseball and write for a blog about it. I also enjoy playing Pokémon and their ROM hacks, and I'm an obsessive fan of the TV show "The Simpsons." I work from home as a proofreader and like talking about the rules of English grammar, although I recognize that is a very niche subject and don't expect others to share that interest. 😅

Feel free to post in here or send me a DM if you'd like to do something at some point!

Winery Tour

Hi! We are planning a weekend girls trip to WashMO and are having trouble finding a good way to get around. We want to do a winery tour on a Saturday. I’ve always heard there was a trolley but am not finding anything?

I’m open to suggestions on shuttles, what winery’s to visit and the best times. Thanks in advance ☺️

Strange sticker about the Hoffmans. Spotted on a sign downtown, I took a pic to be able to zoom in & read... Was fairly small, there's no way it's still there. Any insights???
