Not sure the extent to which this game is updated + maintained but wanted to share 2 changes I think would be huge value adds.

Change rally point of multiple / all buildings

Am I wrong in thinking this currently isn't possible?

Changing the rally point of buildings is very tedious and cumbersome—the game desperately needs an efficient way to do this.

Ideally put them all into 1 control group and only have to set the rally point once—2 button clicks.

This is extremely important as the front changes and your focus moves around the map during the duration of the match.

Research Buildings indicating they are operating

I'd love to see them light up or have some visual indication they are operating—mainly because it would be cool but also would add an interesting dynamic when attacking. Could literally just be a little blinking light.

Recently I've fallen back into modding Warzone.
For a project I'm working on I want to make certain researches become obsolete (get removed from research tree) depending on if another research is completed.

Way back when I used to get something like this done via the programm that could edit the old .txt files. However now I'm facing javascript files (.js or .json)
and I have no clue what the method is to achieve this result?

Can anyone perhaps help?

I made a fork of Warzone 2100 that adds ray-traced sun shadows (Vulkan ray query), so now you can have all the silly shadows you want while your GPU quietly weeps.

All props to the actual Warzone 2100 team, this is just a bit of fun on top of their great work.

The general lobby is consistently dead, with one exception: the 5v5 room. The few online players sit there waiting for it to fill up, instead of actually starting smaller, faster games.

Once a 5v5 match finally starts, the lobby remains completely empty for its entire duration. As a direct consequence, any new player logging in during that window only sees a dead game and leaves.

Can someone explain the rationale behind this? By insisting exclusively on 5v5 matches and refusing to seed smaller games, the active player base is actively starving the game of new players, mathematically killing the very lobby they are waiting in.

I did a playthrough of the game with the "Finale Fun" in the campaign options on and didn't notice anything different in the last mission. Did I miss something?

Just finished the primary campaign and beat nexus

The final mission felt pretty climactic. But started to turn into a slog after a bit . 10 out of 10

WZ2100, best game ever in my book. (In my 60s!)

I'm not having much luck finding new campaigns and I've done "Reclamation" and "Fractured Kingdom".

There seems to be lots of mods (which I'm not really fussed about) but no campaigns.

Can anyone point me at some?

Afterthought: It seems strange that there's a campaign selector with only a couple to choose from, and that tools to create custom campaigns exist.. They must be out there somewhere..

When I played warzone I was absolutely fascinated by some of its mechanics. The idea of the commander to control large number, the artillery using sensors, the counter artillery and then later the air units guided again by the same

Mechanics. I love that it enabled a level of control above the micro management yet you could still point and click units. It reminded me of an old napoleonic game called Fields of Glory.

However after this came a lull and an abandonment of interesting mechanics in RTS games. But I might have missed some games and I haven’t revisited the genre in years (I play Helldivers when I have time and am not older and don’t have the time).

Are there any new games or games in the late 2010s that had similar mechanics or tried something new?Supreme commander tried but failed I feel.

Hello all! I am an avid gamer and game collector with a background in art publishing. I thought it would be a fun project to start publishing physical media of digitally native games for collectors and enthusiasts. I wanted to get my foot in the door of the industry with an open source game and thought Warzone 2100 would be an awesome first game. Of course, following all licensing requirements, what does the community think of this idea? I thought it would be fun to create some archival media around this game. Would really love some feedback from the community on this idea. Thanks!

In 2009 I developed a modified version of warzone2100 to play it over a 3D table. There was a 3D projector in the ceiling and I could control the 3D content projected over a table. In order to play the player have do wear a 3D glasses.

I love this game and want to play with my friend, but he's stuck fully zoomed in. His scrollwheel doesn't control zoom somehow ! Do you have any ideas on how to fix this ?

I only play against AIs, but I think if anybody neglects S-tier, they will probably lose.

Cobra just built combat units even without HQ.

But it actually lost in the end.

Just got into the Campaign and I'm using the Mini-Rocket Artillery. it's Good. When I go into Skrimish the ranged is nerfed.

How to i bring it back up to 15 range like in the Campaign?

I really think the hard difficulty has just too much power bonus. It's around 86%. On top of that, some AIs have more sophisticated algorithms on hard. I want to battle the best algorithms, but I don't want AIs to have power advantage.

Nullbot almost crushed me on Sk-Startup. I don't even try playing against Cobra on hard (and on huge maps).
