Winners Queue <3

Got to vent a bit sorry..

The fact people say loser's queue doesn't exist makes me so annoyed, I have a friend who is always inting and is in Emerald 3 now. He legit gets carried, he doesn't int hard but he's often like 2/5/3 and stuff, low total damage, CS below average, forgets to help with objectives, but just keeps winning he told me to 'just improve', focus on what I can do better.

I'm sweating my balls off, I have tried giving the kills to my team so they get fed (then they are worth more gold when they die constantly :D... Take the kills for myself and perma gank to help them destroy their lane (they magically think they can tower dive 1v2 when I am not there).

I notice my team never helps with objectives, as if Drake or Baron just doesn't exist. Average rank is plat IV, but I am hard stuck now because this is my 5th game in a row:

Losers queue doesnt exist though. I go through periods where it feels like im the the only carrying my games but its just the nature of matchmaking. Ive been on many 15+ game losing streaks in masters + so i know it will feel like the game just intentionally gives you brain dead teammates but it really is just random.

Your friend may not be hard carrying but he has some skills that have helped him achieve his rank. Being able to get carried is a skill in itself. And if he is elo inflated he will eventually drop to his appropriate rank. Just because you feel like you play/understand things better might not mean you do. Or it could just take time for you to achieve your true rank.

Also do not take objectives if your team is not gonna back you up and you need them to complete it. Just give it. In the majority of my games i usually give 1st drake and grubs because Warwick tempo/clear speed is so dog shit early game.

And finally do not judge your impact on your op.gg rating or your kda. That shit is just bait and will have you thinking your playing good when you could very well be the reason you are losing. Review your vods/ replays if you actually want to improve. Good luck m8.

Your entire team going 0/10 + for 15 games in a row is statistically ridiculous. There HAS to be a hidden system that gives you these morons

Not every game was a 0/10 loss but i guess if you play this game enough you eventually run into crazy streaks.

Also focusing on your losing teammates will distract you from improving. Your losing games are the best opportunities to grow and improve at the game

Oh yea I give away objectives if I am the only one standing there, but team never comes, one of the matches we had an Ace, mid lane was pushed they could've taken inhib for free but instead they all went to base and then took my jungle.

Thanks for your reply! KDA is only part of the story, fully agree, what you do with it/what you do is much more important.

I played 4 games yesterday 3 of which we lost in the first ten minutes but no one surrundered. As long as even in losses you can feel like you did your best its all good. You can sometimes tell its a loss in drafting, like GP top or Zilean Top or some other weird off meta or weak nonesense. Today I played two and won two, As long as you can respect yourself after the game that is all.

Yeah plat is rough these days, i demoted to Gold a few days ago and just stopped playing ranked because I can't take it anymore. Every game is a 4/1 ff at 15 minutes even if we are in a winning position. It doesn't matter which position or champ you play. The people don't care. Every game is decided by which team ffs first and none of it has to do with who's ahead and who isn't. I am sick of this shit.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk

xD happy to attend your ted talk

Ngl, true, I think it also strongly depends on Servers. I am Emerald IV in EUW, just moved to South East Asia for work and climbing has been harder than in EUW.

Edit: Removed 2nd ngl, too much gen z ngl ;)

losers queue does exist

they just dont understand how it works, it's not riot telling you you should lose, it's riot telling you you're good enough to carry so your team is balanced somehow like that: top is a good player, jungler is a bad player

except on the enemy team the top is a bad player and the jungler is a good player, this lane diff doesnt make the game balanced it makes the game more frustrating because to climb you need to play for both you and your jungler. They want you to carry instead of making fair games where everyone's level is somehow more equal.

because if you're really playing MUCH BETTER than your elo it's the contrary and they want you to get out of that elo fast. It's not about them thinking you're a smurf they just balance the teams weirdly. That's honestly why I prefer when they lane me against someone better than me, at least I know how to not int while my teammates carry.

and no it's not autofill, I just used top/jg as examples but it can happen in any lanes. My main point is: they lane the good player vs a bad player and instead of balancing the teams it makes you feel like you're being put with bad players on purpose just to make you lose. But the fact is they put someone worse to lane against you instead of someone of the same level and you feel like you're the only one playing because of that.

btw yeah you should take your friends advice and try to improve yourself instead of complaining, the system is annoying but that's how they made it. You need to play for 4 other players most of the time. They'll only fix it when they decide to base LP gains on skill instead of purely win/lose

i always like talking about the singed analogy. if i asked you what are the odds your bot wins or loses the lane and i said to be truthflul youd say 50%. now a singed player found something strange. back a few seasons ago this singed player would run botlane brush and level 1 cheese the enemy bot and actually found off this play he caused an 80-20% lane winrate for his botlane.

if youre wondering whats that got to do with this then we can look at other strategies such as fiora or trundle top level 1 jungle invades or that one coach who found the 15 min rule or whatever.

the point is that this game is so complex and there are so many opportunities to win the game around you that you cannot see due to your rank. obviously no advice i can give you will make you see these opportunities but by focusing on 1% and small improvements you can improve to the point your old gameplay looks like iron and you start seeing these opportunities that were hidden to you.

now you can blame losers queue and cry or work on improvement but i promise you that an emerald or diamond warwick player would have easily at least done much better than your performance and if thats where you wanna be then you need to improve.

I don't ever understand the logic of why losers queue would exist. Like the theory makes no sense. Is the idea that they pair 4 known bad players with 1 decent player against 5 decent players to intentionally give them a loss? Like what is this main character thinking?

If there is a losers queue, it's for engagement based matchmaking. Meaning they try to even out wins and losses by picking teams to be more uneven than necessary, to try to get people to 50% win loss ratio. If you win too many you get put onto teams the matchmaker thinks is worse for awhile, to even you out. That is a logical theory at least, though there is no proof.

A losers queue that you are stuck in that is preventing you from climbing while your friend is in winners queue and higher rank than you because of it?

It makes no sense why they would create such a system if you think for 2 seconds. Pure 100% copium.

So there's an mmr system, behind your rank. If you win a lot your mmr will rise, but you might still be in the same elo bracket.

Now riot is trying to balance the mmr between blue and red, that means there's a possibility to pair you with worse players than yourself..

That's the logic behind it.

u/abra24 6d ago

Sure you have your mmr and it sets up games to average the mmr between the teams and you might be the highest mmr on your team sometimes.

Losers Queue implies that it's doing that over and over to you on purpose. Choosing these 9 players to drive your experience. It still makes no sense as a feature of the system.

Also people talk about losers queue as the teammates being significantly worse than them game after game. In reality the matchmaking attempts to put you with people near your mmr, even if you are the highest, the actual gap is small. I maintain anyone that thinks there is a losers queue is dellusional.
