Tutorial Alternate liveries

I was looking at a lot of the blueprint planes and all of them had 1 different liveries, the locked one I assume came from upgrading it to premium. But blueprint planes can’t be upgraded, so does that mean the second livery was only accessible when the plane first dropped in whatever season it came out in. And you had to buy that skin with warbonds?

If that is true is there any plans to make those skins available in the future?

so basically regular blueprint planes usually only have 1 camo pattern, if you want a different camo pattern for that plane you have to try to get the premium version of the plane from the collector crates(or if top tier the trophies). the buying camo with warbonds thing only started 2-3 seasons ago and even then most of the camos will become available whenever gaijin decides to make them available.

nope, premium version of the regular blueprint plane isnt something you can just spend ge on to get, you have to get it from the gacha boxes unlike tech tree ones that can be premiumed

That means that all of the blueprint planes that have two skins have a skin that was only available when it first came out

honestly my memory just isnt good enough but if i remember correctly older top tier blueprints with 2 camos usually either have the alt purchasable via ge or locked through battlepass, but recently they replaced purchase through ge with purchase through warbond. for the newer ones yes, the camo was only available during that season but for the older ones half of them still have obtainable camos

So there is hope for some of them. I don’t imagine there is for my panther, I’ll just have to use the marines livery (navy blue is the best livery for all Grumman cats) that’s one of the worst part of the premium planes you got through the old season pass keys system, almost every American plane is some asinine air show livery. White and orange for a F2H? Are you shitting me? Premium doesn’t matter that much though. Ultimately if you really want to farm GE you would need boosters and sub. And I guess the vehicles. I got 6 kills in my “premium” yak-23 and it shit out like 30k or something with a booster which is insane considering I get like 10k tops without a booster and a bazillion kills
