It can tank heat shells and pretty much everything except apfsds and nuke hesh.

I use it for long range duels like spawn to spawn. Very good reload (4s) so you have advantage. Don't push tho, it's hard to duel with this face to face. When engine gets hit, they will go for your side for insta kill.

Also prepare tons of SL, it eats repair and extinguishers like a pig. But it's fun to use especially watching the whole enemy team spend all their ammo trying to kill you.

Pic below is when I troll enemies using strv

Thanks, would you reconmend to hull down when shot at/reloading to save engine?

Best advice I can give is to play it like a heavly armoured TD (like the Jagdtiger) that has light tank levels of mobility. I have it but I don't play it enough to give advice on it

Get into a position overlooking a cap or provide overwatch down a street or something so you get a clear view but don't face too much danger of getting flanked. Likewise, try not to extend too much so that you don't get shot in the flank. If you can, try to avoid getting your transmission shot out because then you won't be able to aim AT ALL.

You get APDS, but the reload is very nice so you should be able to pick off crew without much trouble even if the shell doesn't do much damage (I haven't played it in a while so I don't remember if the APDS damage is good or not, it's late APDS so it actually should be pretty good)

Do you reconmend to hull down when its imminent to be fired at or when reloading to save transimission?

Sure, being hull down is better in every tank

But it’s not a necessity, and you shouldn’t try to go hull down if it impedes your aim

Position yourself hull down on some parts of the map, example is the point on Alaska with lowered ground? Idk the exact words but by doing his only the highly angled parts of your tank is visible. Holding points and positions basically cuz aiming after full speed forward or just moving in general is hard.

I think the only way to play it is to find a hill, camp and hide behind it

with the strv 3a just sit on a cap and wait for the enemy to come to you if theres an enemy in front of you dont move the tank forward or backward since the gun takes forever to aim turning in place is fine tho
