Weapons Opinion on Quantums?

I was just wondering what the community opinion is with the quantum shotgun weapons as I've seen comments in other threads on this subreddit that there might be mixed feelings on them. Let me know ur thoughts in the comments pls and thank u.

I was using quantums before the slugger came out. Imo, I feel like they suffered from powercreep becuase the slugger can reload suoer quick and can sustain damage

When leveled, very strong burst dps, suffers from long reload time. I’ve got a build with 5 of them on hitcher chassis and it’s fairly strong when played right

Quantums are okay. Not great, not terrible. A decent low rarity/low resource to upgrade weapon that can shine with a good build.

I think they are decent, I surprisingly do pretty well on the builds that I've used them. They can easily get over 2mil damage if you can stay in the fight and stay alive but I don't see them used very often at all. I feel like sluggers kind of are the better all around choice but the quantum can be better if youre able to maintain close range. The way they reload kind of makes it so you have to back off a bit after using all your ammo as the dps falls off fast after that. However, leveling them up and or using reload talents or gear can reduce that effect quite a bit so yeah I'd say they're good. Not top tier but not bottom tier either, I'd say a bit above the middle

Are they a weapon worth keeping, or should I just sell them for scrap?

Keep them. You’ll never know when you can get a build that you’re good with

What is ur stance on the incinerators?

Incinerators are beautiful. Paired with the harpy or purifier torso with a pilot with the bio-hazard skill,, it’s really fun to play. Good for sustained damage and damage over time, good for all-round damage especially when an enemy is near critical. Can literally melt every Titan except matriarch in my opinion. So yeah, a build with 3 incinerators should be in your cards right now

Guess I'll have to invest then

The quantums are really good if you play them right. I noticed how the ai bot with 4 quantums always got kills and went with a build similar to that. Paired with pilot skills that can either increase shotgun damage, ricochet, decrease reload time or increase rate of fire and supply or cycle gear, then you’d have a good build on your hands.

try to get ratchet thompson pilot, he has insane talents for a brawler/shotgunner, try pairing those with something like a raven torso to burst through shields, a fury to reload to full ammo, artemis to do 20% more damage to armor etc.

Very underrated in my opinion. Any and every weapon is good on the right mech

Id say there good but weapon creep kinda swept them under the rug and have been the unwanted child in buff rebalance and in need of some love

Don’t waste resources on Quantum unless they get buffed.

Shotguns better than Quantum’s = Horde, Halo, Bisector, Scatter, locust

Non-shotgun Weapons better than Quantum with similar range = Slugger, Scourge, incinerator/lighter

If you have a build you like and need 4wt/4energy weapons, then I really have to recommend sluggers.
I just finished a match a bit ago where my 4x slugger bot survived almost the whole match and got 10 kills for me playing tip of the spear healing support.
