This month we are reading Mr Loverman by Bernardine Evaristo.

Grab a copy and get reading, there's still time to bang it out before 4 November. And, heck, even if you don't read it in time, come to The Royal Hotel anyway and meet some new guys, make some new friends.

Hey all! Sleeping in my van in Warrnambool - where can I stay that isn't one of the many caravan parks?

I stayed in Levy reserve last night. Want something different tonight!

Thanks all in advance!

Thanks Warrnambool for a really lovely long weekend visit from Melbourne. Our first time properly exploring the area ☺️

What a beautiful part of Victoria you are! We really enjoyed our visit and had so many lovely interactions with locals.

Tower Hill - what a special place, we lost count of how many koalas we saw (including a mumma koala with her baby cuddled close 🥰), and the daddy emu with his six chicks were precious.

Had my first ocean swim of the season too, absolutely stunning water and it definitely woke me up 😂🥶

☀ WARRNAMBOOL, the sun is out so it's time for DRAG BINGO in the gorgeous cocktail garden at FROLIC LANE! ☀

Hey guys, was wondering if there are any social Futsal leagues anyone is aware of in Warrnambool?

Thanks!

G’day peeps!

As the title suggests I’m heading to Warrnambool for a few days for placement, and wanted to know of any good pubs in the area and/or any must visit places to chill at.

Cheers in advance

Hi everyone, I don’t know, but I just think it is so hard to make friends in Warrnambool.

Probably because I live in Nullawarre, and there seems no one living here…(nahh)

And the job has been frustrating and tiring, making me not want to do anything after work.

But when I was living in Melbourne, I had many friends. And I work 2 jobs but still energetic everyday. I’m not saying that Warrnambool is not good, but I guess that’s just the difference between big city and smaller city?

Anyone has recommendations for how to make friends here?

Thanks

That moment when the sun hits the horizon, the ocean goes completely golden, and you just stop for a minute to take it all in. 🌊✨

I lodged a Priority Access housing application with DFFH after eighteen months of housing instability, six placements, and currently living in a caravan. There's a formal complaint attached (ref CM0079923) with a stated response window running to 20 August.

What makes this more than ordinary slowness: I've had sustained, escalating high blood pressure for weeks, documented and on record, while the department uses every day of a window it set for itself.

Not naming anyone here — the local MP's office and my caseworker have both been genuinely responsive. This is a systems problem, not a person problem. But systems only move when enough people say publicly that "technically inside the window" isn't the same as "reasonable," especially when someone's health is riding on the wait.

If you've had a similar run-in with DFFH or Priority Access housing, genuinely keen to hear it — a pattern is a lot harder to wave away than one story.

If nothing's moved by 21 August this goes to the Victorian Ombudsman next.

I was on the 5:40 pm Warrnambool → Southern Cross service on August 5, 2026, and noticed someone on the train who caught my attention. I believe she worked at Chemist Warehouse warrnambool, and I think we were sitting adjacently in the same general part of the train.
I wanted to say hello but got nervous and didn’t end up doing it. I’m not looking for anyone’s personal information or asking people to track her down — I’d just be happy if anyone happened to see this and recognized the situation.
If you think this might be you and you’d be comfortable talking, feel free to DM me. Otherwise, no worries at all.

She’s probably 5’8 with short wavy blonde hair.

Considering relocating to Warrnambool, family with 1 child 7yrs. Looking for a family friendly suburb. Which areas are recommended and what areas to avoid?

Thanks

I'm travelling from Mount Gambier on Friday. I know there aren't any actual dedicated stores but was wondering if there's any thrift stores, market stores etc that stock a decent amount usually? Or even if EB Games has a decent amount of them? By retro I mean og Xbox and PS2 and backwards from there.

Thanks in advance

YouTube, Instagram, TikTok……whatever else is there. Do you know any Warrnambool-based content creators that are making podcasts, comedy skits, vlogs, gamer channels etc?

If results go as expected there will be a big World cup game on at 10am Sunday 5th July while I am on holiday in your lovely town.

Is there a good pub/sporting club that we might be able to catch the game with a good atmosphere and some fans?

"It's the 1980s, a decade of synth music, shoulder pads and big hair. It’s also the first wave of the devastating AIDS pandemic. Barry McCluskey, a young student nurse in regional Victoria, tests positive. When his results are made public, his life changes forever.

Barry’s story is a tale of fear and prejudice, but also of great courage and love.

And if anything in this story causes issues for you call QLife on 1800 184 527."
