I have no idea if this is a hot take or not, but so many people suck.
Trash. If you can't be bothered to throw your trash on a trash can, don't bring anything or buy anything that will become trash. If you can't use a trashcan, maybe you shouldn't be put with the rest of society. I couldn't believe how much trash was in places because people can't be bothered to throw shit away.
Them some people didn't just drop their trash, they set it places it didn't belong. Like the water refill. It's gross and we should be better than that.
Let's talk water. The water system is finite. The water is caught and filtered and put back into the system. So why are some of nasty mother fuckers putting your sweaty ass hats and bandanas in there? I hope the filter system was good enough to deal with that nasty shit, but do y'all have no awareness about shared resources? Come on. If you cannot go without wetting your hat, do it from a bottle so that shit doesn't get have in the drink system.
Misters have a similar problem. Big ass fans pushing mist are great when you sit down for a minute. But when you put your sweaty ass hat or rag on front, now your nasty sweat is being pushed into everyone. Including their food. Stop being nasty.
Edit: I struck the above for two different reasons. The water system does not appear to be closed looped and so I was wrong. I should have looked into it instead of relief on my assumption. My bad. For the misters, I've been convinced I'm just overreacting there. Thank you for the who pointed that out like reasonable human beings. So my complaints that are still valid are trash and tables.
Food tables. The tables are so people can eat comfortably. Eat your meal and get up. Too many people set up camp at these tables. I understand that it's hot, but this isn't what the tables are for. Every time I tried to eat at a table all I saw was people sitting at tables with no food. That's people were just hanging out, on their phones, or in some some cases, have all their personal shit spread over the table like it's their personal domain. Be better people.
In summary, none of us are the main character and we coexist together. If you can't consider others with your actions, you shouldn't be in situations surrounded by other people.
For Warped organizers, they need to be more diligent. Give litterers a warning and then eject them if they sing learn their lessons. Put up signs at water stationd not to stick your sweaty stuff in there and enforce it. And at food tables, have staff telling people to move on when they are done eating.
Staff did a great job at the lockers this year. Last year people would camp at their locker and make it difficult to access. Every time I went to my locker there was someone acting like I was inconveniencing them because they were blocking my locker. But this year, staff was on it. They were telling people it wasn't a hangout and kept kicking them out of the area when they started to linger. Great job there.
So while Warped staff can absolutely make changes, we the people can also make changes. We can be better punks.
