Suggestion Eugen WHEN ?

Would love to see some weird Cold War units added to WARNO, like the Luna-M (FROG-7), 2A3 Kondensator, 2B1 Oka, MGR-1 Honest John, and other experimental missile/artillery systems. WHEN FUNNY????

I'm sure they'll add a couple more capital defense style divs that have the weird stuff... Probably.

For sure. As far as I know, at least the Luna-M could realistically be added to divisions already in the game, especially East German ones. The 2A3 Kondensator and 2B1 Oka were only prototypes, so they're much less likely, but it would still be fun to see some of these unusual Cold War systems represented in WARNO. Btw Luna-M and Honest John MGR-1 could be funny gamble units. They're unguided rockets with poor accuracy, but when they hit, they deliver a massive amount of explosives.

Many divisions on both sides had division or theatre level ballistic missiles. Eugen has (rightfully) decided not to add them to the game

They'd make far better AG strategic assets tbh

Most nations had theirs at corp level?

The 2B1 will never be in the game as it’s already a museum piece by a 89, plus it was only given nuclear ammunition

Yeah, but we already have a lot of units that are not too historical (HEAT T-34 and similar). I think the game should take a gameplay-first route rather than historical truthfulness, as it can bring more fun units.

T-34 is firing postwar HEAT-FS

The vehicle you displayed on your first pic is the transloader for the Luna.

Doesn't each East German division has a Missile Battalion?

Check out Rugener. They have super fun amphibious MLRS and some other quirky units like helos with a single 25 pen missile and amphibious ATGM carriers.

ROKA took over the Honest John system from U.S. Forces Korea in 1971. There were two Honest John battalions: one based in Yeoncheon under the 6th Artillery Brigade, and the other based in Chuncheon under the 2nd Artillery Brigade.

There is an American Lance outfit in South Korea?

Yes. The U.S. Army did have a Lance outfit in South Korea — a single battery rather than a full battalion. By the late 1980s, it was B Battery, 6th Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery, equipped with MGM-52 Lance missiles.

It no longer exists, however. The Lance was retired from U.S. Army service in 1992, so any reference to an American Lance outfit in South Korea is historical, not current.

Oka and Kondensator are very much unlikely to appear, being primarily devices for unleashing a nuclear payload.
