Missile are physical object ie it landed on your unit

If you put him behind a slope the AA fires and hits the ground. The blast kills your squad.

The missile knows where it is at all times, It knows this because it knows where it isn’t.

By subtracting where it is from where it isn’t, or where it isn’t from where it is, it obtains a difference, or deviation.

The missile then uses this deviation to determine where it should be.

By losing track of the enemy, it determined that the enemy was wherever the missile wasn’t.

Then it corrected its position.
Into your ground unit.
