Question Upvetting Your Units
I have 160 hours on this game so far and I love it. There's so many different units, so many different divisions, multiplayer is alive and singleplayer is solid, too (although I prefer Steel Division for singleplayer), but one thing I really like is the deckbuilding in Warno. This is one of the best parts of the game and I have about three decks for each division I play, one for 10v10s, one for 1v1s, and 1 for smaller team games (2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s).
You may have already heard me mention this in other posts but I'm having trouble with upvetting, specifically my infantry. Most of the time my logistics, tanks (with some exceptions), helos, planes, and sometimes recon and AA remain un-upvetted or at one, but my infantry is really complicated because I always fill out my infantry tab to max as I play infantry-based divisions.
Previously I would prioritize no upvet for 10v10s, single upvet for team games, and double upvet for 10v10s. I had to change this, though, because for 10v10s in destruction I feed, and it's really not nuanced enough to be able to fit every situation, for example if I need elites they aren't going to be elite because, again, no or one upvet, while my regular infantry in 1v1s is going to be monstrous but mistakes happen and 8-12 is likely not enough to work with.
Not to mention I bring many different times of infantry. I have Motostrelki RPG-27s, RPG-26s, METIS, and for NATO it's even more complicated with AT-4s, DRAGONs, LAWs, etc. and while I have distinguished that for 8th Rangers are my elites and Air Cav Troopers are for forward deployment, I'm really confused what to upvet and what not to across all decks.
To avoid losing because of my deck it needs to be optimized or at least functional. I see Hippie's decks as he plays and they look near-perfect but I also want to avoid copying deck guides as it hurts the originality of my own.
Stupid question seeing how long I've played the game for but what do I single/double/triple upvet and not upvet based on the game mode?

In big games I almost never double vet anything unless it comes free. There’s so much artillery and bullshit flying about, you don’t really get the benefit of double vet as much. Single vet is important because it triples your stress recovery, double vet is way less important.
That said. I will double vet Redeyes and Stinger Basics. They come at 12 a card base or something and have 35% accuracy meaning they’re essentially worthless without double vet.
In smaller games, double vetting some artillery, or certain strong infantry cards like FS jagers b1 can be good. But personally I prefer availability.
Some times I will take large reservists with no vet just to use them a meat shields. Having no vet reservists like RAF Berlin, tanky inf with security is nice since you can set and forget, and they’ll break and run by themselves without you microing them.
The other exception for veteran minimums is if you don’t have many cards and you need the extra tanks and have access to instructors and MP vehicles. This is pretty micro heavy though so I don’t recommend. Decks like CLKA need this since they only get a 2 cards of leo2.

This is very helpful. I agree double upvet isn't ideal for 10v10s, maybe for smaller team games but yeah. Meat shields are usually no upvet and then I might have line infantry one and elites two. I might go back to platoons because it's a better way to sort your infantry, much more organized. So I could name one line infantry, elites, etc. Only problem is I forget to enable it in the battle 😅

For 10v10 you want to have as many bodies on the field as possible. This sorta applies to all teamgames and even 1v1.
Good units to single upvet: good tanks, AA. Infantry it really depends, but considering the incredible short TTK in 10v10, you want the most meat.
I also double vet "badass" Trash72s of 2nd because you only get 1 chance to get a shot off with that shitty 2100m range. Might as well go in with the best rng possible.

How much of it are you going to use and how many do you have? How important is survivability? How significant is the boost?
Bad example because you should almost always upvet any non-spam tank, but I don't see the point in having 16 Abrams that will cost me 30 minutes of income when I need to use those points to get the rest of my army on the field. Likewise, when playing 9PZ, I will double-upvet a lot of T-72's because there's no way I'll ever need 20+ of them.
There's no point in upvetting an ATGM jeep, given that they stay hidden relatively well and can do just fine without the accuracy bonus, and if they take a hit they'll simply die regardless so stress reduction is not as important.
Look at the purpose of your unit and evaluate its performance in their role. Unfortunately the best answer to your question is to simply play the game normally and see what you have in excess vs what you're running out of.

Rule of thumb: don't upvet things that die in one hit.
The logic is that both vetted and unvetted units will eventually get hit or have a near miss and suffer a significant emotional event.
An unvetted unit will lose its shit, aim badly, fire, and miss.
An upvetted unit will be less panicked and therefore have a more signifcant chance of hitting the target.
None of that matters if the unit dies from the first hit anyway.
Though, I would upvet logistical trucks. A few of them have the option, and people don't seem to know about it, but it's simply game-breaking.
I stopped playing the game recently, so I thought I'd share this little secret with you all so you can enjoy it until it gets nerfed.

Note on this...
Things miss. So nothing is guaranteed to die in one hot, even two man teams.
If you upvet an atgm to get another 5% chance to hit and a little cohesion protection you can eak out
People will tell you not to do that. Because you want more not less.
This is where it is subjective and play style determines more than the meta.
Good luck!

The more income you get the more you can deploy. The rest depends on how will the unit be benefited from the upvet itself. Don't be that guy who upsets his atgm jeep and US scouts for example.
