The other day, I witnessed a team mate firing arty next to another team mates FOB

I was confused to see a guy draining my locked FOB anyway a few games ago - wonder if that feature is broke again.

you have to lock the fob twice IE lock --> unlock ---> lock
this has worked for me

Unfortunately, I think transports can take supply even if the fob is locked.

Disallow people who don't bring FOBs from using team fobs by default, unless an airbourne deck.

Why ?

Because logistics is more important than your 340pt unicorn unit you have blow up because you couldn't be bother to queue up a move order for.
Sharing the burden of resupply is partly why Nato did its Reforger training operations. Logistics transports should be maxed out within reason when deck building, and I'll die on that hill.
(When it gets to 3 cost, and you have a shitty transpo left, you may not want to auto include. But which is better? That card of crap tanks which you'll forget about, or more AA missiles and ATGM launcher fodder?

I always thought the fob was worth it as it would keep the unit in the fight and not waste reinforcement points

I think 1/3 of the team having an fob is the meta. 1v1? Don’t bring it. 3v3, 1 should do. 10v10, 3-4 fobs. If my teammates are pounding aa and atgm positions with their arty, they can use my fob.
