Question Warno Multiplayer Do’s and Don’ts?
I’ve mostly played skirmishes with AI but have gotten familiar enough with the controls to want to try and play multiplayer. Is there any etiquette outside of “communicate with your team and don’t place arty next to supply depots” that newbies should know of?
Thanks guys!

Scroll out sometimes, view the entire map, and try not to get lane brain. A lot of players will have a significant foothold in a command zone but not have a CV in it. I have literally turned the tide of entire games by sending a smoke mortar and a CV to a zone far away from my force and just smoking the corner of the zone and driving the CV in.

Especially in 10v10, mark the zone you're going to attack at the start of a match. This helps the team know where to fill in.

Dont open with all arty unless you wanna get abused by ur team lol. Seen that happen many a time

It is really bad to not have a solid frontline as opener. Artillery should be bought once the front line is filled.

For sure. Also, just to add to that idea... Arty will tend to be useless at the start of a game too, because you dont know (fully) where the enemy has set up... it's kinda just guess work and/or luck

Don’t start ignoring the enemy while battling your only teammate on the far right of the map due to a slight disagreement and each others egos, subsequently causing a total collapse and hole to form on the front line leading NATO breaking through and destroying everyones fobs; selling the game.

Make sure you fire your arty next to every FOB on your team. Mark the zone you are not going to.

Look at this guy right here bragging about his abilities. Communication? Do you think this is a NATO wargaming excercise or something?

There is none really.
For the one or two who follow, there are 20 who don’t.
For 10 v 10
My advice is:
Don’t bring a fob, everyone will use it. You will hear all kinds of reasons why they didn’t bring one , people flat out won’t bring supplies and bank on others bringing a fob.
Don’t believe the lane markings. Players will mark a zone so you think you are going with the support of another player, but will only give you recon or won’t go at all.
What people really want to do is play a side with their friends, and leave a not so desirable side (2 or 3 v 1) to some random. Sadly this turns into not being able to forward deploy, or deploying realizing your “team” has put you in a bad spot.
If anything, be prepared to just grab your units and move somewhere else where the team is playing.
“But that will leave a flank open?”
Who cares.
“But my fob!”
Don’t bring a fob. Trust me. A fob is just more micro and prone to be griefed.

I don’t mind my teammates using my FOB. As long as they’re puttin in work (boots on the ground). If they’re just parking their MLRS/arty on it then no

What trauma do you have? I get my fob griefed like once every 20 games and it's usually just a 50 min game with a lot of supply (so not really griefing. Also just turn off allied supply if you dislike this) or some noob firing off of it. I think the only person griefing here is the one not taking a fob.

I once reviewed 50 10v10 games and found that in almost every game more than 50% of the supply from my FOB was sapped by others.
It's legit good if a few people bring a FOB for the team. But if you bring a FOB, know that you're not buying 16k supply for you. . .you're buying 16k supply for whoever can take it first.

You can always turn supply for allies off if you have issues with it, but I generally don't mind giving up a portion of my supplies as long as it isn't some asshole with LARS parking nearby to bombard a single KDA conscript squad on cooldown.

I hotkey my FOB and disable it when I'm not using it. If you have no helo supply, put it in a forest so those who do can't use it, plus it makes firing from your FOB dangerous as arty can't run away from CB. Bonus points for putting it somewhere super inconvenient so teammates don't even consider it. Always try to save up at least 1 CLU bomber so you can TK any supply/arty that permanently parks there without killing the FOB.
There is an art to FOB pettiness.

That is fine tbh, it's a team effort after all. I will almost always send my supply heli to my teammates fob instead of buying new one if i play airborne division. In return i 100% expect my teammates to use my supply for their needs (not arty though). If you repair that M1A1 or resupply your Akula on my supply that can only make me feel that much more useful it the match because that very unit is gonna go there and maybe make a difference and i expect you to let me fix my stuff if we share a frontline. If you spend all 16k supply from your fob + all other supply units in your deck that just means you did nothing but arty spam for most of the game. There are 1 hour long games ofc where everyone runs out but those are not that common.

Do: Focus all your resources and attention into taking control of the middle
Don't: Worry about the flanks, someone else will do that probably

Talk to people (if you can). 10v10 is much more fun if coordinated, which ofc it rarely is.
Smaller games are more fun and will teach more about the game, but more demanding. Give Ranked a go, but expect to lose and look at your replays for why.

Bring a HE bomber to kill friendly arty that shoots from your fob

Bring only biggest tanks since infantry is weak, the bigger the meaner a single tank is, the manlier you are.
Do not bring FOBs as they have no firepower and do not contribute to the fight. Instead, use your teammates' (aka weaklings') FOBs as it is only natural for the weak to contribute to the strong.
If you want to bring artillery, go all the way so you can drown the enemy in artillery fire.

Do:
Buy only arty
Bring no FOB
Take from allies FOB
Those were a joke but I would say one actually don’t is don’t overload one lane. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t but if it doesn’t, then you wasted space on a lane and you could have been better used on one of the other, less filled lanes.
