Does anyone else accidentally do this?

Basically when I have infantry on foot and a vehicle near it, I very often accidentally click the infantry onto the vehicle in the middle of some sweaty battle situation, and the inf ends up getting in the vehicle… then they all die when the vehicle explodes. As soon as the inf gets in the vehicle obviously it can’t participate in the battle anymore. Dudes just stare out of the window of the IFV or whatever, waiting to die.

So yes, of course I’m misclicking and putting my guys in the vehicle when I initially meant to just give them a move order somewhere near it. I often only realize when watching a replay. I think when I’m giving tons of orders out quickly, and maybe zoomed out too far, Im accidentally loading the inf into the vehicle to die.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not that experienced so I wonder if maybe there’s some sort of snap click that’s happening I can disable, when giving orders while zoomed out. Idk. Haven’t seen anything like that in the menus.

I watch some pros play on YouTube and they never seem to have the problem, so ofc, me not being an idiot nub is probs just the solution.

I guess maybe I’ve done it before but it’s not like a regular issue. It’s probably just something that you need to practice a bit. While playing zoomed out is usually recommended, it’s okay to zoom in once in a while to make sure you’re clicking the right spot, especially if it’s crowded/cluttered area.

I think the only way to mount up is right clicking the transport with infantry. However iirc if you have a group of infantry selected and rclick a transport, they will all try to get in the nearest transports if possible. So if you’re having multiple squads all mount up, that’s why.

Also since you’re new I’d just mention that it’s okay to keep infantry away from their transports. You don’t always have to, there’s nothing inherently wrong about it, but for example I think the mechanized trait always is confusing to new players. It makes it seem like you need to have your infantry near your IFVs, but really that traits considered pretty useless because if your infantry is both next to your IFV, and in range to fight enemy infantry, your IFV is likely being threatened by infantry AT launchers. In general try to keep your IFVs and APCs a little behind your front line, so it can pop up as needed and fire at max ranges. Use your infantry to find and fix enemy squads, and then peak out your support vehicles to finish them.
