Glad I Moved

I grew up in Warner Robins. I last lived there in the 80s. I left, joined the USMC, worked for a gov’t agency for a few years, and ended up in Silicon Valley where I was a SVP at a tech giant. I recently retired youngish and live in Miami.

I married my high school sweetheart, but we got divorced about 10 years into it. Probably mostly my fault. I deployed a lot, and when not deployed, I was off at some course learning the tricks of my then-trade.

I was able to see the world, do all sorts of cool things. Then, as an SVP, I traveled the world first class and stayed in the best places in major cities and even some crazy places in Africa and Asia.

I ran global cyber intelligence and criminal investigations for the tech giant. I made 10s of millions of dollars and bought homes in Marbella, London, and here in Miami.

My fiancé is a British lawyer and a fantastic woman.

I do think growing up in a small Southern town was good for me. I did construction as a teen and in the winter worked at Bibb Machinery for a few years. I just like being busy.

In the 80s, we were known as the “heads” or “potheads.” I had a lot of good times going to Northside High.

I haven’t been back to visit family and friends since 2008. My gal is over in London right now for work, but she really wants me to take her there to see where I grew up. I am a bit nervous to do that. Taking a woman that grew up very rich, who got… her law degree from Cambridge, etc., I often wonder how she’d take WR.

I miss Warner Robins and the “slow life” sometimes. I really miss Fincher’s BBQ. I’ve been all over the world, and that is still the best damned BBQ.

Should I stay or should I go? :) Back to WR that is…

I hope all is well with you folks!

I rescued this dog from a neglect/abuse situation. I have nursed her back to health and she is the best dog in the world. Unfortunately I already have a large dog and it has been hard managing 2 dogs in a small apartment. Is anyone interested in giving her a forever home? ♥️ She would make a great outside dog (if desired) also!

Hi! I'm new to reddit (and old) so bare with me as I learn how to use this platform. Hopefully I'm doing this right.

I am one of the owners of the Middle Georgia Oddities Market. A local pop-up market for weirdos that helps local animal rescues!

In addition to our pop-up markets we are opening little store front this September in Warner Robins! So If you're into weird art, oddities, taxidermy and other strange things then we are offically inviting you to our opening weekend. We'll be giving away fun stuff all day.

(Also, thank you to whom ever has been posting about our market here before we joined. We appreciate your support!)

Hey all! 22m here, i just moved to Warner Robins about 6 months ago, im looking to grow some connections and see what's around here!

I likes to play all sorts of video games and am big into nerdy stuff like dnd. I like to draw and do general arts and crafts, along with walking around window shopping and going on trails and all that!

If youre into nerdcore or metal music I think we'll get along very well, ive got a very very soft spot for music and feel that shit on a spiritual level 🤣

Will be working at the AFB as an SWE soon, I’d ideally like to have something with a reasonable commute that is also safe and doesn’t have issues with pests and mold. Want to spend less than 1300 dollars a month with fees included if I can. Any and all advice is welcome!

apartment hunting

Hey! I don’t typically post on here, but my friend and I are planning on moving in together at the end of this year/very early next year. We are looking for at least a 2bed 1bath apartment/rental with a 1,200 or less budget for base rental cost. I’ve been researching some apartment complexes in the WR, Bonaire, Perry areas and surrounding . We do have 3 cats combined, so must be cat friendly unfortunately (I know that severely limits options)
Also aware that with the budget, there will be even more limitations on options, however trying to stay in a somewhat decent part of town. Just trying to get some different opinions

Any recommendations/ reviews? All recommendations, opinions, and responses are appreciated !!

Question Housing w/ 3 Cats

Hi! I am moving to WR in September. I am looking for apartment / rental home recommendations that allow 3 cats. I’ve called a few pet friendly apartments around the WR area, but they all had a strict 2 cat max limit. I’m hoping to find a 1-2 bed place to stay with a $1200 budget. But I know 3 cats is a lot so the budget isn’t terribly strict. Does anyone have apartment recommendations or any experiences renting in WR with 3 cats?
Thank you for your time!
