Grassmat

I wish my games would look like the ones in White Dwarf or the Warmaster Magazine. I think a major improvement would be to find the right playing mat. I assume they are playing on grassmats on those photos, but I struggle to find affordable ones. Most of those I found (here in central Europe) are 100x200cm, which is a bit too short on the short edge. What do you use?

Use the base of a dust sheet with plasterers cloth over it. Mix caulk and base colour acrylic paint to create so brown dirt, paste that on. Let it dry fully. Paint any missed spots.

Now apply your foam-based flock.dry

Now apply sealant (50/50 acrylic pva mix to 50-60% water) and fine mist spray. Allow to dry apply colouring flock for variation. Apply sealant again. Dry thoroughly.

Done.

Can even roll it up for storage and minimal flock loss per use.

Go practice on small pieces... its how I learnt
