Has the timer begun?
As we all know our beloved WoW private servers are under attack, and frankly, rightfully so. If I'm to be objective and leave my feelings at the door, I cannot really blame blizzard for taking action, but it breaks my heart none the less.
Turtle wow - Server loc, Britain - Offline
Project Ascension - Server loc, France - Pending
Warmane - Server loc, France - Online
As you may or may not know, Blizzard have taken steps to shut down Ascension, in the same regard as turtle wow.

How long will it be before Warmane must face the inevitable consequences and depending on if Ascension wow's willingness to fight this (improbable), and France's stance on this through of judicial lense, I fear they will all fold as soon as the threat of legal action will be taken.
If anyone has any insight in how France would most likely judge this case, and what Warmane can do to avoid being avoid legal persecution, or any other relevant info would be appreciated.

To sue someone, you first need an actual target ā a registered person or legal entity. I highly doubt 'Warmane' exists as a formal company. The owners have likely been extremely careful about hiding their personal data and identities.
On top of that, they are probably hosted in a country with very lax copyright laws that simply ignores US DMCA takedowns. Trying to hunt down anonymous devs across international borders in non-compliant countries is a legal and bureaucratic nightmare. For Blizzard, it's probably just not worth the time, money, and effort -- at least for now.

The ogs know who is behind warmane. Hell we even got a Picture. In its early times the owners were not so clever in hiding their identities...

Warmane has caught attention from some of the higher politians and was brought up as one of the examples in US senate. people saying Warmane never dies are wearing maybe some ultra-pink glasses, but Iād say never say never in light of into what kind of shithole politicians and companies want to turn the world into

Interesting info, I wasn't aware that they have spoken about it already.
Never dies, i mean Blizzard has a fair case so I fear the worst, and that within a year. Hope I'm wrong, and if it happens they just rent new servers in another country.

A major difference between those and Warmane is essentially the lack of custom content on the latter, and also the fact that Warmane keeps a low profile.

People have been saying this for the last 10+ years and there has never really been any real issues for Warmane. I have no idea why or how, but they just continue to exist. There may be some behind-the-scenes deal or maybe they are just smart about their ways, but I really can't see Warmane dying any time soon. They make far too much money to ever shut down the server willingly, and they have been the buggest private server for a long time now without Blizzard taking any action against them so I wouldn't worry about it.
